Tire sizes?

I put stock sized RE11 and was pretty happy. Not many options though in stock sizes.

Several CS folks are running stock rear width with a slightly wider tire in front, not sure that really opens any options on the 360, also I believe the front fenders are rolled from the factory on the CS. Also, several people have reported that some of the very early 360s are particular sensitive to tire size.

Is there a particular tire you wanted? It looks like PS2 is available if you go 225/45 in front instead of 215/45 and you can leave rear stock size.

 

Why do you want to change? You can do a 285/40 lts a little wider and a hair taller. The 35 wont look right. And your speedo will be off and youll accelerate your mileage rate.

You can see specs on tirerack but its about 1" shorter overall 35 vs 40.

Youd have to go to a 315/35 to equal tire height with a 275/40

The MPSS tyre is far superior to PS3

On standard rims I was previously using.....

MPSS - 225/45/18 & 265/40/18 - this was due to compromised tyre size availability in the EU.

I ordered my recently fitted set from USA as follows.....

MPSS 235/40/18 / 285/35/18

They work in terms of fitting on the rims, not causing ABS/ASR to get upset and they also clear the fenders. (Note that I previously had to roll the fenders just a tiny little bit for the 225/45/18 tyres).

The old set-up was far superior to the OEM PS2 with OEM sizes.

I've only one trackday on the new set-up so the tyres are still too new to judge properly. I also had my balljoints renewed which feels like it shifted my alignment somewhat and I didn't have time before track use to check and re-set it. My initial feeling is that the rear is a lot more planted and able to take more power earlier. Front, I'm not sure there's much of a difference.

Anyway, those MPSS sizes on OEM wheels work and work well.

I'll give you this one for fun (and 'cos I think it looks great) and then refer you to an album of shots from a recent trackday where you'll be able to see others. I'm not sure if there are any static shots in there but there will surely be some where the suspension is not particularly loaded. There's also a lovely Gallio CS to be seen hopping the kerbs among the various other cars also.....

Greg- 599 owners have noted the MPSS tires do a much better job than the P Zeros of putting down the power when exiting turns or accelerating from a full stop. Sounds like you are feeling the same thing.

Im running 255/30 up front and 355/25 at the back. 19' rims.

The original 360 tire sizes are a bit odd.
