While watching the AFC Championship game, I started switching between the cable signal (BrightHouse) and a small indoor HD antenna. Am I crazy for thinking the antenna signal is a tad sharper and has better color saturation? I'm watching a LG 1080 plasma. While on antenna, there was a camera shot of Brady looking over his shoulder (@ 3:41 in the 2nd, I think) when the stitching around Brady's numbers was very distinct.

Is there less signal compression using an antenna?

I could be wrong, but I believe the OTA signal isn't compressed. Hence yeah, you could very well be correct it's a better feed.

Mind me asking what antenna you're using? I **** canned my cable, but reckon the little I want is available OTA or via the Apple TV. Amplified? (The little research I've done suggests there's *lots* of variables as to what works? )

    Cheers,
    Ian

i just installed a $40.00 "roof" antenna inside my attic.
my home is a ranch (i.e. not a very high mount) and i am surprised as to how clear the reception is.
i live in the metropolitan detroit area and can pick up 40 stations with the antenna.

    That's cool, Joel.

Does it simply plug into the ANT input?
