I too am looking for a TDF or Red Modena with 6spd. The one thing that I find interesting is the relatively high prices being asked for these cars based on Black Book CPI and Hagerty price guides. Unless there is something very special about the car, I find it hard to believe that people are actually paying +$15K over published values. Am I looking at this wrong, or is the market for these cars going up? Any insight would be appreciated.

So Hagerty puts an '01 Spider at about $83K-93K (good, excellent) with the top cars at 100K. So what is it you are seeing? You shouldn't have much problem finding a nice Spider for $90K.

.. well actually the personal expereice of friends, I have seen that the very best, most desiarable 360 spyders will bring between $100 and $110K.

I just seen my friend buy a 2001 spider with 18k silver black. Needs nothing. Back in nov of 2013 for $68k. So there's deals around just have to look.

My Experience the cheaper cars aren't in top condition or they have no records. If you want a low mileage excellent car up to date on maintance expect to pay at least $95k. I just bought a 02 spider red with tan only 7100 miles pristine condition with service records for $83750. I knew it would need a clutch, front brakes, belt service at a cost of $12k. So for $95750 I have a great car up to date on everything.

    6spds are becoming more rare!

Ferrari prices also vary a lot by season. You are looking during prime selling season so don't expect a deal.

Just a note, I live near Marshall Goldman. I was over there the other day and they are loaded with 360's, one of which was a blue three pedal Spider. I believe it was an '04 with just under 20k. Price was low 90's. One thing I didn't know about them...they put new belts on 95% of the 360's before they put them on the floor. They said it is just easier to get that question out of the way. Buddy of mine snapped up a red/tan 360 spider from them yesterday, 4k miles. Chrome wheels, really looked great.

Yea, people keep saying their rare... `I only focus on the Coupes. At least 5 months out the year my local dealer has a 6-speed in stock, Goldman's always has a great selection, and up into 3 months ago there where over a dozen 6-speeds that where constantly offered for sale, those cars started off with high asking prices and slowly dropped down lower than 90k. CNC has offered at least 7 6-speeds since I started paying attention (mid-summer). If you want rare try looking for a 91-95 Lamborghini Diablo that does not need an engine rebuild or has never had a rebuild, now that's a small market.
