that car would be better than Lafferari

 

Rear mid engine V-12 would be sweet as long as it was less than 700k

 

700k only if they build cars in high numbers , at least in the same numbers as Laferrari

 

If it's gonna be less money than the LaF then they should build at least the same number of cars
It will also be competing against the upcoming Aventador SV which is rumored to be around 800hp

 

I think it will be more competitor for Mclaren P15 than Aventador

 

What's the rumored specs on the P15

 

It cant be smaller than laF.

Laf is very low.the space between the weels is maximized for v12+kers+driver. You cant minimoze that space and also to keep the configuration.

I think only of 2 variants:

1.laf with bo kers. 800hp or more and a bit more trak oriented(allready we saw lexan side windos)
2.laf with f1 2014 derived engine. V6 turbo with kers and mgu.

I dont wlthink there is space between speciale and laf in the mid engine sector.

 

the same 3,8 liter engine and same carbon tub like in P1, P15 will be something between 450S and P1

 

Considering it will be built in less numbers than Laferrari, there is no way it will be cheaper. I believe others have confirmed it will be a Laferrari with a body from a previous design study.

 

with great sounding V12 in the back and with butterfly doors they will have no problem to sell 499 copies

I'm afraid that this car will be build in low numbers and only body design will be different like Reventon

 

They can't build fewer than LaFerrari as if they do it will be rarer and become more valuable even if they initially charge less so it has to be at least a thousand and based on an existing platform

There has to be space for the LaFerrariFXX so it will not have that powertrain

Kers version of the California T engine so it can pretend to be F1-style in a cheaper version of the LaF chassis (sounds like the P15.....)

Whilst it might be initially offered to those who did not get a LaFerrari slot it will not be limited edition

 

Ferrari did admit that there was another exterior design for the LaFerrari that they shelved for some reason. This may be it.

 

"We've sold out of our limited production hybrid supercar, so now we'll give the buyers the non-hybrid car they actually wanted."

Either that or MC-12 time.

 

If Luca mentioned "special" version, I cant see that as cheaper model than LaF. On contrary, that car could cost even more with (lets say) special customization program for track usage. I have in mind production number of 300 cars that will be offered exclusively to all people that were interested in LaF in first place.

for ordinary supercar fan that would be an interesting choice if it is more exclusive than laferrari. especially exciting if it is related to that the rumored special design that the people within ferrari all loved that was saved for future car.

but for the loyal owners (at least most of them at this point) who were offered laferrari...a more exclusive one than the already exclusive one? after considering all those prerequisite requirement to get lafe, how would that measure up to the more exclusive car? and how would these 'loyal' lafe owners react to it?

it is hard to understand ferrari's logic some time though, especially when you think about how they named laferrari. a even more halo car over the halo car within a year seems unlikely.

ha. i don't know. i wish it is better and more extreme than lafe. but they are in the car bunsiness.

 

Have to agree it'll be a non kers V12 equipped and lighter car. Hopefully with butterfly doors.
