Just purchased my first Ferrari. 1992 348TB.
Awesome! Absolutely love it! Spring just arrived and had her out for the first run today!
Only two things wrong are that the power mirrors don't work and the passenger window.
It wants to move and there is power but it won't go up or down.
I have seen previous posts on window motors on this website but not much
with regards to the mirrors. Could it be something as simple as a fuse?
Haven't checked any yet but looking for somewhere to start.

Welcome aboard friend, quite a thrill driving your own horse eh?

Saw a post from 06 that may be of help to you and noted the link below. The search function works well within FChat, but I often find that a Google search is quicker and can be adjusted in quick fashion to narrow down a search.

Good luck to you and know we look forward to your providing photos.

Great! thanks Scot, this is exactly what I was looking for. Your help is much appreciated.

I was able to pop out the switch for the mirrors and tried cleaning up the contacts. I managed to get the left mirror to work but no success on the passenger side. I think it might be in the rocker switch. I might need to replace it with a new one.

If you are handy the switches are easily rebuilt.

I would also check the wiring harness from the door to the body. The factory installed these harnesses without leaving enough slack to provide the flexibility required when opening the doors. The harness tends to pull at the connections to the plastic plug and break the wires at the solder joint to the plug pins.

Decided to do surgery on the mirror switch yesterday. Took it apart and cleaned the contacts up. Reassembled and got both mirrors to work left and right but no up or down motion. The switch is also not working to my liking so I am ordering a new one. At least now I know where the problem is.

Havent got any pictures, but when I took mine apart I couldnt get the little cone contacts to sit back properly - so I bought a new one. (via searching ebay I bought one for a Motorhome - same part, same numbers, just loads cheaper as a motorhome switch rather than a Ferrari switch!)

I know yours is now sorted, but another mirror issue I found was the wiring loom to the drivers mirror getting caught under the window glass and getting "unplugged" by the window opening. (there is a plug/socket on the mirror cabling just into the door)

Glad you found the issue with he mirrors. The pass side window on mine needed to have the motor cleaned. I guess it didn't get used much and water got trapped inside, causing corrosion. I simply and carefully disassembled the motor off the window mech and sanded the rust off the armature. Works like a charm now. The best way to access the motor is by removing the strakes.

Check the connection at the door jamb wiring harness. I had the same issue. It was intermittent and affected the same components you speak of. Release the connector counterclockwise and pull back the rubber conduit. You may very well find a pulled out wire from the connector. Then check fuses under the passenger foot well panel. Mine blew several times.
