What is this noise? Any help is appreciated

This is the beginning of trying to diagnose this noise. It started about three weeks ago after the header replacement. Initially I thought that it was a loose heat shield of some sort but I cant find or see anything visibly loose.

I hear it like in this audio upon cold start up. I took it to Classic Coach to let them have a listen and of course it didnt make it there. I let the car sit for over an hour there but it still wasnt evident.

Everything else on the car is fine. Shifts fine, no CELs, etc. The noise appears to go away mostly when the car warms up and gets hot, although now that I am attuned to it I believe I can still hear it then also.

This audio was taken from the ground level right under the clutch. It kind of sounds like its coming from the clutch area but I cant say that is a definite.

It does not change at all in neutral, clutch in and out.

It goes away on neutral acceleration but seems to some back after awhile at increased rpm. Hard to be definitive on this, but does go away initially.

It definitely goes away, emergency brake on, first gear, slowly release clutch.

I was behind the car and wife was doing the above.

It does not really seem to change much proportionately to RPMs. Pretty much the same rattling throughtout rpms

It is hard to hear what's going on while driving with exhaust, road noise etc. as it isn't that loud.

 

I'm not sure it is the bypass valve or a clamp as it goes away as I said above when I put it in gear with the brake on. I'm thinking more drive train related but I'm open to suggestions.

 

Still trying to figure this out. It seems to be coming from the pumpkin in my opinion. I see how to change the clutch , removing the bumper , etc. but before I open the pumpkin to get at that I want to check the transmission fluid.

I see in the wsm where the stuck is but I can't find it in the car. From the top I don't see it and from behind not on a lift I see nothing

Where is the dip stick located and how to access it?

It sounds like a bearing noise to me. Can you elaborate on your experience with that bearing please? Have you replaced it? Is there anything unique to doing it?

The thing with this rattle as I outlined above is that it goes away when I let out the clutch and step on the brake. (Load). It distinctly goes away. At first I thought it was a heat shield thing as well but it changes character on neutral acceleration and goes away under load.


I am not looking for a reason to take things apart I just think its more than a heat shield rattle. I poke around again and go get the stethoscope as well

I had the rattle since August and I was convinced it was from the pumpkin and a bearing of some sort. I finally got the car on my lift and the noise was definitely from left of the pumpkin which could only be the cat having ruled out other obvious things (heat shield, loose clamps)

I got the cat off today and here's a little video of what was rattling.

Note that the core is not broken apart and dusty, it's just loose. I did have 4032 and 4022 codes as well. I ordered hyper flows today,
