I've been lurking around here for a few years now and I have learned a lot of things about the brand. Ther is no need for me to ask a questions. Most of the things I wanted to ask had already been answered. A lot of reading though.
I am intimidated, excited, anxious all at the same time. Now, I think I am ready for my first Ferrari.

Anybody know something about this car? It looks nice in the pics, but its been for sale for quite a long time now. I talked to the owner (Fabio) but it seems like he doesnt know anything about his car. He is not sure if he is the 4th or 5th owner and it's been 7 years since the last major.

I too was a tad intimidated, but trust me, there is no need to be. Relax, take your time, and report here if you find a potential model as there is a good chance somebody here know it and can give some background.

    Thank you to warm welcome.
I have not done any test drive as of yet, but coming from a honda and nissan, I dont think I will be disapointed at all.

No you will actually be hooked big time, which is a risk. Once the red mist settles in your car buying objectivity goes out the window. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have an exisitng owner in your corner when you go look at one to keep your feet planted. ;)

I bought my first Ferrari in 2012 - an 88 328GTS and have been hooked every since. I just purchased a few days ago a 1999 F355F1 and it should be trailered up here within about a week to 10 days. Can't wait.

Is that an offer? I'll take you up on it :) I am leaning towards GTB and GTS, but they are very hard to find. I am not so sure about the spider though, i am middle aged and has a receeding hairline. :)
Since we are in Ca. I also want a local car unless the out state cars will pass smog.

Spider all the way, the sound of that engine behind your ears with the top down is priceless

All of the USA F355's are California compliant, as far as I know. I bought mine from a Ferrari dealer in Utah and mine passes easily, every time.

The only f car I've driven is ours and I love it. The airflow around the car is very smooth with little wind in your face and almost no cabin noise. You can have normal conversations at highway speeds with windows down.
