If after sitting with a CTEK on the battery for a couple of days I get in, turn on the ignition, wait for the OK symbol, and for the F1 icon to extinguish, I have to push really hard on the brake pedal to get it to crank. After the first start every other start is fine with just a gentle push on the brake pedal. I would have thought that if the brake pedal switch was bad then it would react the same way every time.
Any ideas as to why this should be so?
    Thanks
    Alan

Vacuum brake booster is bleeding down. This makes pushing the brake pedal very stiff and difficult to move the required amount to get the brake light switch to trip. The vacuum in the system just leaks out over time. Mine does it overnight.

Alan- You might consider changing the switch if the problem starts getting worse. Not an uncommon problem on F1 Ferraris.

I did get a switch from Ricambi but have not fitted it. Waiting to see if I get any other issues. I didn't even think about the vacuum booster -- that makes a lot of sense now. I guess it takes along time for the vacuum to bleed off as I can start normally even after having a leisurely dinner.
    Thanks

Thanks I fell in love with the color. I've always been a fan of red but the Fiorano Rosso is beautiful.

    Thanks Victor
