    Yep, sure agree with that.

I had to do rear driveshaft universals last week as one went dry and started clunking. Total cost for parts for top quality universals, bolts and nylocks was around $140. Try doing that on a Testarossa!

Wow! That means there are now TWO confirmed cases in all of human history of wives allowing their husbands to build a garage bigger than the house, yours and mine! It must be a sign that the end is near.

NICE looking set up, by the way. Please keep us updated on progress, I'd love to see more pics as you go. I am at the point of having to make a lot of the same decisions as you. What direction are you leaning towards for flooring?

What height is your garage roof. I have just under 9ft, some saya lift is doable others not.

I tell you she was was unbelievable. Did not even have snow tires. Literally never left me stranded not once. I live on the bottom of a steep hill and made it up the hill with not even a swerve. A lot of thumbs up while driving. The only thing that wasn't so good when we were at 0 degree weather heat could have been better but heck I'm not complaining.

As for ceiling height it's at 15feet. The most town would allow me. For the two post lift I needed 12 feet at least.

I'm not sure on the floor yet. I'm leaning towards polishing the concrete but I also like the tiles some have been putting in their garage. I can't wait to finish. This is my dream garage. I even have a tire machine with a wheel balancer in there. Too many projects now. I don't think I will see the light of day for the next ten years.

List of to dos in order
    1. Replace blown motor in 355. Have another motor. Then rebuild original motor and keep as spare
    2. Finish restoring 69 l89 vette
    3. Strip the 308 to bare metal and fix few rust spots and then repaint
    4. Restomod z28 put in hydraulic roller 427 in there
    5. Replace 351c in pantera with a nascar prepped 351c with jack roush heads that should pump out 550hp on pump gas
    6. Pull out motor from lotus and modify motor
By the time I finish these I'm sure the testarossa will need a belt change as well

So you see I will be stuck in that garage for a long long time. I'm not complaining though. Here's another shot of the workhorse this winter

Not even close... our house is around 1,700 ft2, but the garage is 4,000 ft2. Mathematically I can only conclude that my wife is at least twice as cool as most.

I have to put the diablo on top or else I can't open the door to get in or out of the car. I have to be very precise...
The Pantera on the other hand, with precision fits perfectly....

Amazing garage I went to see this past Saturday.

The GT40 is a genuine authentic GT40 Mk. 1 (p/1040) from 1966 and is the only GT40 to race a Le Mans twice. It has won both Amelia Island and Pebble Beach. Unfortunately, it crashed in hour 17 while in 5th place AHEAD of a Ferrari 250GTO. It also features a cross fed fuel delivery system that only five other GT40's came equipped with for long distance racing. The full documentation of the cars restoration can be found here in this article here Ford GT40 Restoration - Chassis 1040 . He also purchased an extra authentic GT40 4.7L Windsor but doesn't know quite sure which GT40 it came out of.

The Lotus 23B was his track car for historic racing events until he purchased his Cayman R and 968 track car for racing and has left the 23B alone. By far the most used looking car of them all. Lots of duct tape and rock chips on the front of the car signifying it's usage. It's equipped with a 1.4L Cosworth twin cam 4-cylinder which is coupled to a five speed gearbox.

The Audi R8 R TDI raced at Le Mans in 2001. He purchased the car last year I believe in Monterey only days after seeing it. Incredibly enough, the car came with car #501's body, which is the car that won Le Mans in 2001. It also came with an assortment of parts including 3 full sets of racing slicks, and different set of gears, 6-8 Carbon ceramic rotors, a full set of replacement pads, and much more. It's a very tedious venture to start the car, so much so that he has to fly a group of guys out from Michigan to do it. However, once he learns how to, he will rent out our local track for a day and invite me out for some pictures.

The owner didn't touch much on his AUTHENTIC 427 Cobra but he has owned it since 1967. He does drive all the streetable cars too, the Cobra's plates have brand new tags on them.

By far the most unique car in the bunch was the Messerschmitt KR200 3-wheeler. After WWII, Messerschmitt didn't have any use in making planes anymore so they turned to cars, not a very successful car but cool none the less. Little interesting fact about the car, in order to put the car in reverse, you must turn the key backwards which starts the engine and fires it in reverse thus allowing you to travel in reverse.

The owner said nothing really about the 968 but still a very cool car.

The Alfa GTA was definitely a cool little car. The owner used to race it with the Lotus but said it's "incredibly slow" and lot's of people use "cheater" transmissions (sequential) instead of a true manual because they wouldn't last a week of hard track racing.

The BMW R2 wasn't talked about either but it is a very beautiful bike.

Finally the Ford GT. The owner does drive this car with some frequency but much prefers his R8 which is kept up in the house. He said the only mod is a performance exhaust (he made it sound like it was factory) that he had put on when it was new.

Now I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Amazing garage. Having the GT40 next to a GT is awesome! And the R8 is on another level.
    Very cool.

If u want heat in the winter pour the floor with piping in it hooked up to a water heater and pump - freezing out, walk barefoot in the garage floor at 72 degrees

Can't say who owns it be he is extremely nice. We were talking and he says "next time you come out, we'll have to start them". I was saying in my head "next time????!!!!".

Quite awesome isn't it? The #501 body is being restored at a local business in town.
