    Yes aware of this.

    My understanding is this car is one of the very special ones. This person had a few Porsches including an ex-Le Mans 911 and so on.

    Happy to be wrong but I was informed that it was rarer than hens teeth.

    Been wondering for years when we would get helmets with HUD features.

    Didn't show the type of information I'd want (speed, rpm, gear), but at least that means they'll come eventually.

    According to reports out of Germany, the Nürburgring has been bought by the Capricorn Group.

    Details are limited but Spiegel is reporting the Düsseldorf-based company has over 350 employees and about 100 of them currently work at Capricorn's Nürburgring test center.

    We haven't come across any official announcements as of yet but Capricorn's website says they have been using the Nürburgring "for over twenty years, gaining valuable insights into chassis tuning." The site goes on to say "Engines and chassis can be theoretically tested in facilities that artificially simulate natural conditions, but in order to gain a complete impression of the driving behaviour of a vehicle, nothing matches the practical insights that one gains from taking a vehicle onto the racetrack."

    New details are emerging about the next generation Nissan GT-R (R36) set to come out towards the end of next year as a 2016MY.

    It's no longer a secret the all-new GT-R will receive a hybrid powertrain and now we have learned from a Japanese magazine the electric motor will work together with the familiar VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 3.8-liter engine. Nismo's engineers will be tweaking this hardware arrangement which should provide the next-gen GT-R with a total output of 800 HP (588 kW) thanks to the implementation of a KERS-like system developed in collaboration with Williams.

    The GT-R R36 will allegedly need just 2.7 seconds to get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) while the quarter mile should take about 10 seconds. The same source mentions a top speed of approximately 211 mph (340 km/h)

    Expect a price tag between 120,000 and 150,000 USD whereas the current range-topping 600 HP GT-R Nismo costs 149,990 USD, without taking into account the 1,595 USD destination and handling charges.

    What strikes me about that video is the total absence of driver engagement, plus the engine sound about as interesting as a vacuum cleaner.

    Oh, btw have you ever heard about late model 911 engine intermediate shaft failures?

    Why does it come with a tape measure? That doesn't seem like an obviously useful addition to the process.
