    Threw the headers on one side for fun, looks awesome what a cool looking power train.

    Valve covers are original and untouched which is how I left them. I removed the coating on the inside that was flaking off and surely headed to the oil pump pickup but left the outside alone.

    A before pic at the end, I don't remember it being that ugly lol.

    This picture is a good illustration of why the boxers have a high rear and a large gap over the rear wheels. A design error in my opinion. The long tube headers run under a cross member that runs just over the collectors and under the bell housing. The two-story stacked headers and running under a cross member reduces ground clearance. At stock ride height boxers scrape the lower headers over dips or after a rail way crossing. Lower the car and your headers become skid plates. They fixed this with the testarossa buy running shorty headers and having the outlets side by side rather than stacking the long tubes. This is why a 512M engine in a boxer would allow not only a ridiculous power increase but a lower center of gravity AND more ground clearance!

    We had a nice -32C here this morning. I think I won't be able to get my trailer out of the snow in May to pick up my car the way it's going now :-(

    Note yellow sticker, I have a perfect sample that Im taking to have a bunch made. They are on the sway bars too. Ive seen them on 308's as well.

    Steering arms are yellow zinc, spindles semigloss black.

    Found a handful of rocks inside the rear park brake shoe area, wasn't expecting that!

    Left rear shoes held on with bolts and nuts, should have spring loaded lock pins that you turn 90 degrees to lock in place. Ill replace those pieces.

    Rebuilding callipers, this is a front calliper - check out the goo! Changing brake fluid yearly or every other year would prevent this but honestly the rust you see is working its way in from the outside past the weather seals and the outsides look like crud anyway. If you use your boxer and its been wet in the past this will happen no matter how often you change the fluid.
