On the topic of ER, I have been a few times and thought the MP4 was the best for the track use and lap times. The Scud was the funnest followed closely by the 458. I did feel that it was a bad judge for what car I would want to buy for weekend fun and occasional track use as I focused so much on my driving that I forgot to pay attention to the different cars. When buying my Scud, I test drove the Mp4 also and did not like it at all for street use. The Scud was the most thrilling car I have experienced on the street.
Some of the instructors at ER make you drive the track better and some of them make me mess up.

    Holy crap!

Did you negotiate a custom deal with that many laps? Starts to add up...

I would have stayed all day but my wife was ready to yack after she killed it in the 458. I only beat her by .7 secs in the Scud : O

We went back to relax... ; )

I'm working on the garage right now and trying to visualize where the 430 will go. I think on top of the 308 on a four post lift! : )

Definitely! Appreciate it! Just FYI - I may be * looking* for a storied car! I have, what I think is the best body shop in the US, and am not hung up on a panel repair if it is minor. Obviously any major impact or issues is of great concern. I do however respect and appreciate those for which this is a big concern! : )

My intention would to be to never sell the scud - ever. My E92 M3 and 308 GTS are already off the market!

Great points! I actually somewhat-realized just that as I wrote it. Appreciate the cliff's notes so I can focus on those issues - have no idea : )

Ohhhhhh...F1 is wearable and I want to wear it so badly. That is one of my favorite things about the car. The BRUTAL redline shifts. Feels like someone punching you between the shoulder blades. Maybe it is Enzo smacking you to ensure that you are awake!

Thanks Don! Will take a look.

I did not know that - very cool. I did look at the time on the Nurburgring and it is ~30 secs faster than my e92 m3...wow. That sounds right to me.

I agree. Both my instructors were good, but the second one let me get closer to the outside cones and "no go blue area", which let me carry more speed.

I was 1.5s faster in the MP4 around that 1.2m track and I had 1.5 times less fun. It was also the second car, more liberal instructor, etc, so...I bet I could close that gap in the Scud, but I would also get faster in the MP4.

The instructors that guided me to do better, made me better. The instructors that controlled you by telling you when to shift, brake and accelerate made me confused. My instincts tell me what to do from lots of experience but he wants me to wait for him to instruct my actions. Can be negative experience with that.

Replied! You guys are killing me! I am not yet ready! ; )

I honestly call those guys "the bravest men in las vegas". That job is crazy. To assess and/or communicate with people in 5 laps and 500hp? LOL - Um, PASS on that job thanks. I'd rather get high and try to cross the highway.

I know exactly what you mean. I think my best lap ever there was a couple of years ago before they changed the course. I was in the 458. The instructor started to give less and less instruction and was super pumped at the end. We passed like 7 cars in 5 laps.

I think once you know one of the guys, and what you want, you can totally lock them in. I tip the guys $20 for being so brave because I do go all out and it has to be scary as ****. I may crash...who knows : P Once you do that, and if the place isn't mobbed, you can totally lock in a "personal coach" almost for the day. Or cycle between 1-2 guys that are really good. A lot of them still race pro; but as you likely know, just because you are a pro does not make you a good anything-else automatically ; )

    Is this for real?

Broken English in an ad is usually the easiest way to spot scams...the car has lots of "optionals" and has an odometer "read"

Didn't all US scuds have launch control?

Sad to see this car sit for 5 years...wonder if the fluids just sat there too and where it sat would be interesting to know...

We did yes :). Afterwards my wife did the drifting in the Z06 and loved it! The guy driving was awesome and was passing cars on track sideways. It was a very cool way to end the day.

U.S. Cars did not come with the launch control button. U.S cars have a lunch control however it is an Easter Egg. ( hidden way to do it ) just makes the Scud that much more special :)

ahh...yes, thanks for the lesson (I recall hearing that now...F430GT was the only guy I ever read about actually using it...if its anything like the CS version, its something like 2-3 uses per clutch!).

Very true. As long as temp controlled and not started frequently, should be ok with some swaps on fluid. But yah - very important.

    [homer]Mmmm...lunch control[/homer]

    Very cool!

    I will use it!

    Wait 2-3 LOL...ok no.

    Oh ok then...no wait. Ow!

Any idea what it went for?

Thanks for info! Next time will be my third time so I will definitely put the squeeze on them. They also have competition now in town ; )

I should have sent my wife on the corvette, but she had to sit down after going max-attack haha! Was very proud of her...she was locking up the 458 under breaking!
