Massive whining by the usual characters on here about the lack of the engine sound, the stupid rules, the dwindling audience numbers and the GP2 lap times.

    Race:
    see quali

Aside from that I'm hoping Hamilton wins.

And you can't even argue with them, they are hellbent on "all sucks".

As I said earlier: a few more races and they will move on

Move on to some other sport somewhere else, or move on to whining about something else in F1 land? I kind of hope for the former, but suspect the latter..... ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Weather has been topsy turvy here. Very unpredictable. One thing is good is there's no more haze.

Sepang will be a true test, with it's 2 long straights, i think a Merc engine car will take this one. Hopefully a Williams.

Some obvious predictions - Ham for the win, Ross second. Kobacrashy takes out some meaningless back markers at the start. Massa beaten by Bottas who ends up on the podium. McLaren under perform. Fred sees off Kimi. Lotus fail to finish. Red Bull threaten to quit the sport because they aren't winning anymore (poor little lambs).

Less obvious prediction - we start to see over taking all over the track as drivers start to learn to use the ERS systems to squirt past on shorter straights.

Thanks for the update! Sutil is saying if you are reliable and fast at Sepang that will bode well for the rest of the year for a teams car.

I hear W05 has a 'go fast' button or 'pass' button somewhere which of course sounds like something used when passing only. As if it weren't fast enough already. Hoping for a clean weekend

And there's the heart of the reason for the fuel flow limit! ;)

They may well have, and if their economy is as good as rumored, everyone else better look out!.....

    The more I think on it, the more I think the much maligned rules have actually got it about right;

    - If they simply limit capacity, but not flow rate, we've got a Le Mans style economy run except when they push the tittie.
    - Limit flow only and their aim of improving efficiency goes out the window.

While I, and many others, would like to see a flow rate only restriction, and beyond that you can use as much gas and configure your car however you want, costs would once again get crazy.

    Cheers,
    Ian

    LOL

I'm hoping for a Button win, but I'll settle for Raikkonen or Alonso win as well, and a top finish by a Williams wouldn't hurt either. :)

I'm hoping to see Williams, McLaren, and Ferrari sticking with Mercedes and making it an interesting race. Specifically I hope to see what Massa can do, especially after Bottas' performance in Australia!

Kimi will blow "away" the entire field....Massa second (if he escapes several crashing atemptes by fading brakes and crazy drivers)...the rest i don't give a rats ass....
