Man, you must be so well-connected to know all of that and post it here! I'm impressed.

I guess it bugs me when someone posts a personal garage like this, says the owner asked for their information not to be made public (perfectly reasonable), and someone takes it upon themselves to Google the owner and post their name and occupation in the thread.

    Carry on.

He said the car came from Wisconsin so I bet it was his. However, he didn't own it at that time.

I'm with you on the googling/outing for no reason of owners who wish to remain anonymous. Not cool. I was referring to this post when I made my previous observation:

If a car like that belongs in the house its in the bedroom not the dining room.

Or enjoy the F430 looking at the dinner?! :D

Just starting my garage project. I bought an old decrepit Laundromat of about 2200 sq.ft. which will be converted into a car storage-workshop-man cave

I divided my garage into two sections. One section is the workshop, and the other the parking area. They are divided by the sliding doors seen here. This is from the parking area. The service area is on the other side of the screens.

It can get very warm here in the tropics, so each section is air-conditioned separately.

This is the workshop area, which some of you have seen before. The tool cabinets are here, and the floor is epoxy-coated, rather than tile as in the parking area. I have a 2-post lift, seen here. It is made for standard-height ceilings and has the added bonus of not being obtrusive. The highest position won't allow one to stand beneath the car, but one can sit on a rolling stool. It certainly is an advantage over jack stands. which i used to use before.

The hydraulic pump for the lift rolls on a trolley, so can be moved to some corner when not in use.

When a car is in the service area, I have a spare slot that comes in handy for the local sports car club’s stewards meetings, one shown in progress here. We just bring in a folding table and chairs. The floor-to-ceiling windows to the left look to the view of a small pond and the adjoining hill.

This is the sliding screen that divides the work and parking areas. I have an eclectic, not expensive, and very small collection of cars, mostly old. Just a few cars I like, bought over many years
