First (???) Speciale in the US Ferrari 458 Speciale - 30 March 2014 - Autogespot Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks to me like it's Rosso Scuderia. There is a lot of bright sunlight on parts of the. The parts of the car that are in the shade are too red to be Dino.
All the more telling, no? 360 CS is just cooler and better looking. I can't even find one for sale right now. It's a pretty desirable car it seems. Used the be a ton for sale. Not anymore. It may be a piece of ****, relatively speaking, but it's still good looking. Wouldn't take it as an only car if I wanted a sports car, but definitely a cool extra car.
Cool extra car definitely But given the choice between it and the Speciale some choose the CS puzzles me but it's also a testament to the CS BTW I bought a new CS back in 2004 and it was a fabulous car
Just gotta look at the CS as a classic. I see two for sale on AT, the cheaper and nicer of the two being $160K. That's not far off a nice Scuderia. Speciale is going to lose $100-150K, I'm almost certain. If you don't care about having the better car, the CS is a probably a better buy. I'm actual surprised and somewhat disappointed there aren't more for sale and that they are asking so much still. I couldn't live with it as my only sports car being that it would feel super slow, but I'd get one if it were $40K cheaper and just for fun. And if you're all about the emotions, the CS sounds waaaaay better than the 458 and Speciale based on what I've heard. It's probably one of the best sounding modern cars.
No denying the CS is great car I am also waiting for them to get into the low 100's before making a decision although that may never happen The sound is definitely the best ever of all the Ferrari's I have ever had
Today the Speciale is under full test on a race track named Vairano (It). I highly suspect that soon we will see the first complete report issued by the Italian magazine "Quattroruote". I will keep you updated..
I'd hardly call a CS a piece of ****. Still has a 420 hp N/A V8 with a very capable chasis.. If anything it's the transmission that holds it back IMO. The CS still drives well beyond most drivers capabilities and skill levels. Not to mention it's one of the most seductive looking cars out there. I should HOPE that the Speciale is in a different league being 10 years newer..
pls check here their short introductional video about the test... Ferrari 458 speciale - Pronta A Una Settimana Di Test A Vairano [video] - Quattroruote The test started just yesterday after the car arrived. She will be there for one "full week test" and what I can say is that according to some "rumors" she is already close to the 2th /3th lap times (and just one day after her arrival). On the next month there will be a full report on Quattroruote...I am quite confident..
Looking at the Quattroruote intro video, it seems there will be a repeat of an old test they did on the Scuderia: who is faster...a professional pilot with all off or an amateur in the most aggressive traction control on mode? The results should on the May issue as well... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
