I know this is wierd but my take on the most beautiful cars for 2014 is as below: 1) RedBull - I find the nosecone to cockpit looking very streamlined and the black paint seems to mask the keel very well. Most natural looking car based on the 2014 regulations. 2) Mercedes - Overall aggresive stance and the metallic green seems to make this year's model even menacing. 3) Ferrari - Looks great from side profile based on some pictures captured in Sepang. 4) Mclaren - Looks great from shots taken from the rear. Feel free to share your thoughts
1) Red Bull 2) Williams. Love the livery most of all. 3) Ferrari, but mostly because I prefer their color scheme than Mercedes. Has some nice side profiles, but 1 really ugly angle from the front 4) Mercedes, better looking nose than Ferrari. Hate the antenna's on the front though.
The Mercedes is the best looking to me. The RedBull is nice too but I don't like the black nose tip that is solely used to hide that area.
I think this thread should ask which is LEAST VISUALLY OFFENSIVE, not most beautiful. In that case, I'd say Williams or Redbull. Mark
None. No 2014 F1 car resembles anything even remotely related to beauty. The shapes are hideous to the point of being comedic.
Red Bull made a very nice looking race machine, they take #1 for 2014 Its very good looking. I like the clean simple livery of the Williams, this makes it #2, closely followed by a toss up with Ferrari/Mercedes for me. As mentioned, the Ferrari has a nicer livery, the Mercedes might have a slightly better shape. Both of their noses are slightly awkward, I prefer the keel of the RBR which really looks fantastic. The Mclaren has a very ugly scheme this year. I like the Lotus, but its awkward if its anywhere near the Torro Rosso, Caterham, or Force India - I just get an image of the cars "mating" and its not good.... Caterham doesn't look good in photos, but when you actually see it going around a track, its no longer ugly.
I'd go with that, but if asked to pick one, I'd go with Mercedes followed by Red Bull and Williams. And I think that all the "schnozzolas" on some of the cars should be required to be painted flat black to make them less obtrusive. Caterham's is easily the worst of these.
Yes, then we are really answering "which is LEAST VISUALLY OFFENSIVE, not most beautiful" as Joker pointed out. If you take the paint and disguises off the cars, even the RB, they look bad. Some teams just haven't tried to hide it, at all. LOL
I do think this is a positive, but damn I guess its too much to ask for attractive lines and variety.
It's the FIA rules and the various aerodynamic appendages that make current cars ugly. For me, the most beautiful F1 were in the 60s, before downforce was discovered, without any wings or spoilers.
Nay say all you like, but half the cars on the 2014 grid probably look better than the Ferrari 312T4. Granted, the T4 sounds better though.
They are all ugly due to badly written rules. The Williams is the lesser of all evils. The RB is second only because they tried to hide it with the livery.
