is this real, sorry if repost! Fiction: A car saves a plane with a landing gear failure. [VIDEO] OK , Hoax, but great Video http://www.hoax-slayer.com/landing-plane-truck.shtml
That little truck had to accelerate to at least 125-130mph in nothing flat. Then station itself precisely under the nose gear, then absorb the thousands of pounds of down load of the 727 settling down. And what airline was that? Red White and Blue We Carry You? Riddicalus as my grandson would say.
Not quite the same thing but I remember this being on the news in the 80s [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANLgWY6I9uk]"LANDING GEAR SPECTACULAR....(!!!) (English at 1:17) - YouTube[/ame]
There have been several incidents where a plane did a low pass and a person reached up through a sunroof/t-top to release stuck landing gear. And there is a small plane that lands on a pickup with a flat-bed at the roof level, billing itself as the world's smallest aircraft carrier. Not sure if they are still performing that stunt. I think it's the same team that has a plane with wheels on top and bottom, and lands upside down, right way up, upside down, right way up, etc., all the way down a runway. I seem to remember watching them on TV in the 90s, so probably retired by now.
Nissan ran this as a commercial a few years back. It makes for a good commercial but far from real [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdXddFFWHLw]The Nissan Frontier Airplane Commercial - YouTube[/ame]
