I have my new 22" Magnaflow ready to go on, however I'm having problems choosing tips. What IS the difference between resonated and not, and can anyone give some examples of both and where to get them? thanks!

For the tips, or the fact that they're resonated? I'm not a fan of the red, sorry

If you have a carb car that will only last a few hours anyway.

Or if you have an EFI system tuned similarly.

If it is a visual thing, do what you like but if sound is a factor, listen to the exhaust with and without to see what you like best. You may be able to get resonator or plain tips.

I put on a flowmaster dual in and dual out and it was too loud, so we added a couple of resonator tips. it brought the tone and volume down a bit. My wife still uses ear plugs on a drive.

I have an older Stebro with the removable tip resonators. It's just louder with them out, and not in a good way (in my opinion). The overall effect may vary between different exhausts but I would personally leave them on.
