Regarding the expert testimony you refer to above please provide the forum one example that Jim's chassis is the original 0846.
Seeing that he has been banned from threads, I feel it is pretty clear as to how they view his trolling. If it's not clear to anyone, I suggest you read this thread. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferrari-discussion-not-model-specific/430667-el-waynes-allegation-i-am-shilling-talacrest.html Like I said, best bet for a sane argument on 0846, is to put Miura on ignore. Like so many have already done. So much so that informed members refuse to participate here anymore.
Best way is to hop on a plane and go to Jim's shop, assuming he'd let you in, and look at the bloody thing, and compare to the 412 in residence also, and the bloody P4 blueprints. All the proof you should need. Otherwise, as others have stated, it's a lost cause. Ferrari didn't 'destroy' that frame such that it was in itty bitty pieces, never to be seen again in it's entirety. It got claimed and rebuilt using other original parts, to be 0846, again. What proof do you have it isn't what it is? It ain't a Piper made frame. I think the explaination forwarded before that Piper let it go without knowing what it was when he built Jim's 'replica' is most plausible. Why the hard on for Jim and all the upfront info he has shared about his cars? Perry
Then why don't you provide us with one example as to why you don't think that it is? You have constantly refused to answer this question, time and again. You must have your reasons, yet you continue your relentless questions in pursuit of what, I do not know. Maybe it is the "Doubting Thomas" complex. In any case, your agenda is perplexing.
You're forgetting one major thing here which is that it's Jim who is claiming that his chassis contains at least 80% of the remains of the original 0846. I'm not claiming anything. It's up to him to prove that his chassis is as he describes, not me to disprove it. In law he who alleges must prove. I've now read the 0846 pdf papers and all of this thread and I can't see any concrete evidence that it is.
Hilarious that you use this argument as both Italian and US law are completely satisfied with the evidence presented and claim that the car is P3/4 #0846.
He has documented the proof which you refuse to accept. You also cant document any concrete proof that its not, so what we have here is an argument about nothing. Courts have ruled the way they have and there are no doubt reasons for that. As a reader there is one word that defines this thread in my opinion: credibility.
Yep. Due to that this is now a case of innocent till proven guilty. And proven by facts. Not speculation.
Lets let the internets define that for us... Let me google that for you I'm sure we all know who that defines and who it doesn't when it comes to Napolis vs. MiuraSv. When I say Miura is only worth ignoring you can trust that advice is... credible.
You are "claiming" our collective attention. You are making endless tiring demands. WHO do you think YOU are? The rest of us, Ferrari owners, or historians, or even just interested fans, we know who we are! As Jim sometimes points out, the most valuable commodity to human life, is not actually money. It is time. IF you have something, bring it (it's about one month overdue), if not you are wasting everyone's time.
Vangool, again where is the expert testimony backing Jim's car as the original 0846 as you have stated. Come on please name one expert/historian who says it is the original 0846.
He's a wannabe exotic car salesman who got spanked in the P/4 Can Am thread and who is now looking to taint the reputation of the man he feels was responsible.
No doubt Tex. My little 2 year old girl deserves whatever free time I have versus wasting it on a disgruntled obsessed fanatic. These cars are very important to me, Ferrari in general, but not more important then her. She's a beauty. Sweet as I could hope for. And she desrves to not have to stare at me pecking away at a keyboard. Waste of time. Best to be put on ignore and answer real questions from real posters that are actually trying to learn something versus re-live high school.
You have become the Class Clown of this thread, and the rest of us were learning quietly. None of us were there, and we are losing those that were, on a daily basis. That alone would tend to make me think a higher level of decorum might apply. You have read all the same theories that we have (hopefully) but have drawn your own conclusions. Fair enough. That does not give you the right to badger Jim, or any of us, to convince you. I (we, maybe) really don't care what you believe. Unless you have some new facts. You cannot churn the old ones to make them fit your view. Horsefly has returned......
I'll contribute a WE to that. Guessing others will to. Meade was there and frankly the only expert testimony we need. When it comes to the saving of 0846 there's not a better expert then that. As he was the ONLY one with the fore-thought to do so. I thank him for that and thank Jim for carrying on his work in such an exacting and precise manner. I wish more Ferrari owners treated Ferrari history like he has. But my guess is someone thinks both of these experts are liars. Or at least wants them to be. BADLY.
Gotta love a guy who goes manic when you don't answer his useless inquiries within minutes, but he can go weeks without answering anybodys questions. He's like a spoiled little kid that gets angry if you don't believe him when he says the world is flat.
