Exactly what I meant.... Lets be honest. Ferrari will always be successfull regardless if they are winning F1 or not.

They always have the most beautiful car, and best drivers. As long as they put on a good show they will make money.

Offer Brawn enough money and power for him not to say "no".

Focusing on the drivers is focusing in the wrong place. The cars are the problems. For years they've looked bad, squirrely, a handful, Clifford. If you replaced the driver, he would still have to drive a Clifford.

Lucca should be on the phone with Brawn today begging him to come back.

    New leadership... Flavio Briatore!
New design focus... Driver centered... Think about it, the more comfortable the driver deals in the race car and the easier it is for him to drive the more he will give back in terms of performance.

I'd hardly call a 9th place finish over 10th wiping the track.

Alonso was quicker, but not significantly, in Melbourne. Räikkönen was quicker in all three Sepang practice sessions, and may have given Fred fits in the race but we'll never know.

Kimi qualified better in Bahrain, and finished one spot down after a bad start. Not a glowing year for Kimi so far, but really, Fernando has barely fared better

Sacking Alonso is like suggesting that they should have drilled another hole in the Titanic's hull to let the water out.

I do wonder if a brand new man made lake is being constructed at the factory to lure a certain someone out of retirement.

I think we simply shouldn't overreact. It isn't the first time the Ferrari isn't among the top runners. Perhaps for some it takes some getting used to, but between 1979 and 2000, no driver title was won. Between Jerez 1990 and Hockenheim 1994, no race was won. In 1995 only one race was won.

Having said that, it is pretty obvious the F14T is lacking, so there is work to do.

Why would you sack the best driver in F1 (Alonso), because the car sucks?
One thing is not liking the man, but you can't deny his talent, he's the best of his generation. When Ferrari went all Italian a few years back, their troubles started.

That is complicated, but of course, much had to do with a certain M. Schumacher. The story goes that after testing the 412T2, he couldn't understand why Ferrari got just one win with it. He went on to win three races in his first full season and took the championship to the wire in te next.

I didn't know Briatore could design cars as well.

That's what Ferrari needs; a good car, more engineering, not more fun.

It's 2-1 in qualy and 3-0 in the races. Kimi looks a bit lost to me. I don't dislike Kimi but I doubt he'll ever get on equal terms with Fred.

Sadly, I feel the team is a long way from turning things around. Ferrari have not truly produced the best car on the grid since the F2003-GA or the F2004. The F2007/F2008 cars were probably their best of recent years, but that's getting to be some time ago, and neither of those chassis were the easiest to drive quickly in those respective seasons. Both Räikkönen and Massa deserve more credit than they receive for their efforts during that time.

Over the past few years the excuse has been the poorly calibrated wind tunnel. Now they've spent a ton of money and have allegedly jumped that hurdle but it is clear to me that the only reason the F14-T is finishing where it is is because of who is driving it. In lessor hands that car would be a back marker.

I feel it is a leadership/management crisis . . . I don't know that a physical presence in England has anything to do with it . . . but based upon the past couple of seasons there's not much hope for significant upgrades during the year.

All I know is that it is tragedy to see these two great drivers saddled with such an uncompetitive car this late in their careers. If Ferrari can't provide them a car to fight at the front, I would prefer that they release them to realize their potential and build for the future with young drivers who have demonstrated worthy of such an opportunity.
