I think Alonso has been faithful till last year, that is when the cracks showed up ... if you look back at Schumacher years - he never blamed the team, he was always positive and used his own persuasion behind the scenes to get things going his way... Alonso did some of that - but not to the same extent. I beleive Alonso is only loyal so long as things are going well. once it hits the fan.. he's out. at a time like this you need the dirver to be one of the leaders and providing stability.... at least in public

Hey, here's an idea...someone at Ferrari should just bribe Murdernado to take out both Mercs:

Stefan is to me a big part of the problem...and i say this becaus eeven people from inside the team have said that he is to soft to be a team leader....Todt was a hard guy, and a lot schruder than Stefano...he made the team, and he made it work..Stefano as been unable to do so. The title Ferrari lost with Felipe was a sign of things to come..why the hell did they decided to invent a new sistem for pitstops near the enfd of the year...look at the mess it was...and the **** they made at canada while refueling massa..or the stupid tactics that cost him a chance to win or at least second place at Mónaco? Too many mistakes....as for 2010 i wish people stoped blaming the wrong call in the last race for loosing the title...do you forget the quantity of time sthat alonso ****ed up that year? Mónaco for example, that race where he spun in the begining of the race, canada where he lost places for both Mclarens twice!!! And the last race where he had no balls to overtake Petrov..dou you guys believe that Shumy, Alesi, senna would have stayed behind without even atempting an overtaking manoever? Alonso is good, no doubt but thre is no chemistry for him and Ferrari, he shoul never had been hired...in fact, it was almost sacked last year during the Monza g.p...Massa was waiting on an ansew while Luca decided if he was keeping or sacking Alonso..he was already fed up with him after he publicly criticized the team in Hungary, and when he called idiots to the team engeneers during quali at Monza it was the last drop....i very much doubt he will stay after this year

Red Bull has Renault power. Their driver pairing is not as good as Ferrari's. Fernando is the best in the world, given a parity car, and Kimi is very close to him. What is most galling to Luca and he team is being behind M-B, Red Bull and Force India. I have no brief for Domenicali but the fault for this year's non-competitiveness lies with the engine department. And Ross Brawn can do nothing about that.

To describe Alonso as faithful is a gross misunderstatement. His efforts alone nearly gifted the Scuderia those titles in 2010 and 2012. If it were not for Fernando driving like there was no tomorrow, Ferrari would not have made the post race reports.

I'd never take anything away from Michael Schumacher but it's simply too convenient to lump all of this solely in the driver's lap when the rest of the equation (Brawn, Todt, Byrne) are not in place.

A disgruntled driver may not help things, but keeping his mouth shut isn't going to save a car that is poorly designed from the outset. As I stated earlier, it's been a long time since Ferrari delivered a truly competitive car. I'd contend 10 years. Their ability to upgrade their car during the season over the same period of time has also been in question.

BTW, Chilton is a pay driver. He is in F1 because he has backing. Yes he has improved, but I see nothing to indicate he can carry any team, much less Ferrari, out of darkness.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Whitmarsh.

Flav, Whitmarsh, and Brawn. Are any of these people realistic? It couldn't get any worse right?

Solution is easy. Put a time bomb inside every ferrari engine on the grid programmed to explode at mid race and then claim to need a safety based exception to the engines development freeze.

    That's what Flavio would do!

Flavio Briatore Is winner at every thing he did . The two brothers that owned fiat gave Ferrari one last chance and put the money into the 550.and 360 then ask todt what he need to save the race team and he said Michael . Micheal got Russ and russ got Rory To take over the design studio which was brought back to Italy. After the brothers passed clown hack ego maniac primadonna Ldm sank a team that made more than the car company could ever dream of just so can say he's the boss so Machiavelli

Sounds really simple when put that way......in reality it was a bit more drawn out. They have a fundamental issue from the leadership on down at Ferrari today. The roles have also been reversed and the production cars are nearly as important if not more than the F1 side now.

"F1" is only part of LDM's problem. The production car program is in the toilet too. Can you really believe the Ferrari Club of America's story in their Prancing Horse Mag. that they are reducing production just to maintain exclusivity, while they are basterdizing every other part of the Company to grub every penney they can get there hands on.

Yes, I can believe that they published the story, but do not believe the essence of it. I believe that it is brilliant on their part to push that story and make you believe that they are producing less cars.......so as to make you want to buy it more. How many people believe they only made 499 of the 16m? LDM is the correct puppet, just need someone to start pulling the strings as he's all caught up in them without someone to handle him.

We definitely need Ross Brawn back. The ship is lost at sea. he's the master and knows how to steer it. If, at this stage, Luca didn't contact Ross after storming off last weekend, then i;m absolutely lost for words

I believe the last 'best' car the Scuderia built was the F2008. Even Rubens Barrichello would have easily been WDC in that car.

Why do people always look back and not forwards?

The solution is not trying to lure Brawn out of retirement but searching for a talent at least equal to him.
There is surely a genius out there; finding it is that Ferrari should concentrate on.
