Silence reverse beep on F12

Find beeper.
Cut wire.
Done.

 

I drove my 2003 Subaru XT yesterday. In complete joyful silence. No beeps, bells, or squawks for seatbelts, airbags, backups... It was wonderful, but it reminded me of just how intrusive the government has become in the last 10 years. This is just one of zillions of aspects of that intrusiveness.

Ain't that the truth. It's totally out of control and the current regime seems intent on announcing one or two new "executive orders" each and every day.

It's not just the intrusiveness of the government further and further into individuals' lives, the obliteration of any personal sphere. It's the high cost of these mandates to consumers. These mandates (not just as to the cars themselves, but all aspects including vehicle financing) drive up the minimum cost of cars -- and amount to a command that people of limited means shall limit themselves to purchasing only older, less reliable and less safe vehicles.

 

Just a few examples:

Ethanol mandates drive up the cost of everything that eats corn, while enriching the ADMs of the world ... and for no environmental benefit.

Or the crummy GM Cobalts slap-dashed together so as to satisfy the government fleet mileage requirements.

Or the expensive, intermittent wind and solar power made off shore while lining the pockets of rent seeking companies that paid to play.

 

I don't mind reverse beeping, it's just annoying in the F12. It is SO sensitive. I want to know if I'm missing a toddler, not a brick wall 6 feet away.

 

Did you ever get a solution to this? I love my newly acquired F12 but I also find the constant reversing beep (regardless of proximity) really annoying - I know it's going backwards 😳

 

Possible fix.

Look up to the pod with your rear view mirror and interior lights, there is a button you can press to disengage the parking sensor. They may help. Also in your settings there is a choice for the car to give you warning if you are within 6' of something. You can disengage as well. Good luck.

 

I like it and with my windows down blaring.... it means..."Get the **** out of the way...a Ferrari is coming through...."

 

Does anyone have a fix for this? I too find it really annoying to have 2 lots of constant beeping when reversing out of my drive! Need a wider drive !

 

Stoll looking how to do this. Since the car beeps in reverse you don't know why it is beeping because you're in reverse or because you're about to hit a wall cuz of the sensors

Just FYI, my 2021 812 GTS does the same thing, but add my wife fussing about it as well.

 

While in reverse, try turning down the radio volume knob. This works in most cars.

 

I have a tractor, forklift and skid steer that all beep when in reverse.


Oh and every Ferrari I have owned! I thought Lambo had its roots in tractors…

I've also been a bit overwhelmed by all the beeps since I'm new to the car also. With beeps for reversing, starting off too close to things, and then getting too close to things, it's hard to tell what beeps are for what.
