It is becoming rare to encounter a Miura that truly exists as it was made, without modified bodywork, SV wheels (on non-SVs), or a convoluted story as part of its provenance. Little wonder then that the former are so valuable.

It must be a nightmare finding genuine parts and spares for these cars. No wonder some are tempted to take the presumably cheaper and easier path which can result in "special SVJ's" and the like.

Parts are similarly unobtainable as other Italian cars of the era, no different.

The modification of Miuras into SV Jota copies has nothing to do with being cheaper & easier, if anything, it is more expensive & more difficult (!) to modify these cars rather than keep them in original guise. Something I learned from personal experience.

Thank you! I always get confused with the other Azzuro Ciélo from UK, i mean #4814. As far as i know there are only two Miuras in that colour right? #5080 was previously painted black and it's first colour was white/gold i think. Am i right?

An important addition to my files.

Thank you again Mr Sackey. Really appreciate it.

    :)

#5080 was never black, it was imported from UK and restored in switzerland, at that time it became white (without gold), later sold to US where the sills and rims got gold, later repainted dark blue, reimported to switzerland and now again in it's original livery.

Since Jow and me know the long time swiss owner very well, the history is well known.

    U R welcome!

Yes, only two originally in Azzuro Ciélo, 4814 & 5080.

5080 started life as Azzuro Ciélo with silver wheels/silld, then it became white with silver wheels/sills, then the sills & wheels were painted gold, then it became dark blue with silver wheels & sills, and finally, its back to Azzuro Ciélo with silver wheels & sills.

    Hope that helps!

Same answer within one minute from 2 sides of the world, not bad...

BTW there was a magazine coverage of the first restoration.

For me it looks like a Hotwheels Diecast.

At that time it had still the swiss reg number exchange holder on the car.
