As above, Ricciardo remains excluded from the race.

Not really surprising, I don't think anyone has ever won against an FIA decision?

I would have been shocked if they had got it overturned.

Sensors only break on their cars. I smell something fishy.

Happy RB lost the appeal, however I can't help but feel bad for DR.

I thought Hamilton had a sensor break? And I thought other teams had issues/warnings from FIA that race?

I think Hamilton's was the only non Renault engine's case and happened during practice. Ricciardo's broke twice in three races

Red bull is not supposed to have a shot this year so I'm not surprised ;)

I think the nail was the fact that they were specifically told what to do and not to do about the situation and they did things their way anyway.

They rolled the dice, took a chance... but lost. Winners take risks and sometimes they lose.

    Ouch!.....

Why should there be any further sanctions? They exceeded the limit in one race and were excluded from the results. They paid the price for breaking the rules at that race. Why on earth should there be further sanctions?

    Cheers,
    Ian

Ferrari won an appeal in 1999 when their barge boards didn't comply with regulations at the second last race of the season in Malaysia. Ross Brawn did an amazing dog and pony show at the hearing to show how despite failing the measurements, the barge boards were still in compliance because of the slight angle at which they were mounted, and the FIA bought it and allowed Irvine's victory to stand, thus taking the championship down to the last race in Japan.

The sensor in Ricciardo's car didn't break. It indicated a different fluel flow reading than Red Bull's own sensors did, and when the FIA sensor indicated fuel flow rates exceeding the limit of 100 kg/hr the FIA instructed Red Bull to reduce their fuel flow. Other teams, including Mercedes (Rosberg), received similar instructions during the race. Only Red Bull decided to deliberately ignore the FIA instruction.

Mercedes are who should have further sanctions for their blatantly illegal testing last year.

Some F1 press reports have hinted Mercedes think there should be more sanctions on Red Bull. Sad. They are so clean themselves from last year.

It broke in the last race, didn't it? And Ricciardo was allowed to follow Red Bull's own data? And during the practice prior to the first race I think. And on the toro Rossos...
