Fritz D'Orey brought a 550 to Brazil and posted about it the other day in the FF section.

The TR is famous and has since been restored back to Pontoon Fender spec. Chassis number 0738TR I think.

I loved reading through this thread! Great stories, and it's cool to play a small part in one.

My story is old news for you guys, but I'll link the thread for anyone else that runs across this.

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-vintage-driving-machines/345020-0233-eu-212-inter-cabriolet-ghia-coming-soon.html

My Grandpa owned the 212 Inter Ghia Cabriolet 0233EU (Geneva Motor Show car) in the late 60's, and sold it to someone that parked it untouched in a barn until a picker discovered it in 2011, and Shaughnessy snatched it up.

It seems as though the couple of photos I had of the car in 1969 are the only time it's been seen between 1953 and 2011 when it was discovered. (Pics in the linked thread)

This is my first post here, so I thought I would post the following photo. That is my son in the pic. As a child I have ridden in all 4 of the cars pictured here. One of them was stored in a garage in the sixties, you can guess which one. The other 3 were procured by my father in the sixties while we were stationed over seas. They were all up and running and eventually one by one they ended up in the garage by the mid seventies. They were all moved to another garage, and then moved to this garage by the end of the eighties where they have remained since. Every couple of years he would start them and then get busy doing something else.

So, the question of have they all been found can be answered by not yet. For the first time in many years there is hope that I can start pulling them out and maybe looking at beginning the mechanical restoration on one this summer.

I have a 1939 Packard that will be done in a couple months.

I am going to let you keep guessing a little with a couple hints. Dear old dad, who turns 94 today, loves Ferrari's and bought this red car that was blue. I will tell you that it is British as you may guess by the original blue coat of paint. He told the garage where he bought the car to paint it like a Ferrari, making it red with black wheels. It did drive the Brits crazy. The Ivory colored car also has a connection to Ferrari's.

Here's a shot looking the other direction

    Tinpan,

I have a very similar 330GT. Both are series 2 cars with single headlights in metallic evening blue (blu sera metalazo) with tan interiors. A total of 455 Series 2 330GT 2+2s were made. If you post the serial number I, or several others on here, should be able to give you the car's early history.

    Regards,

    Art S.

    Hi Art,

Thank you very much for the paint color. Dad told me the vin is 9156 but there seems to be some question if that is correct. I'll visit the car again and look for the vin, where is a good place to locate it.

Based on information Tinpan has provided to me, I believe it is 9153. If so, the blue is Bleu Scuro Duco 95C.6159, a special order color.

9153 was also the 1966 Turin Motor Show car before being sold through Francochamps in Belgium.

See Chassis number for places to look for the serial number on a 330 GT.

Red is maybe a Rolls Royce, and the Ivory one is a Packard. If so, both nice cars. The copper colored one looks like either a Packard from the 50's or a Lincoln?

Looks to be an Alvis 4.3 Litre Drophead Coupe, like these:

[Edit: After careful examination and further research, I believe that the car pictured below is the exact same car as the red Alvis in the pics posted above, and that the man seen driving in the second photo (Colonel Phil Adair) is the OP's father.]

And here is a photo of the same car (DYW 68) while owned by Captain A.C. Dick of Tonbridge, sometime prior to WWII. I would assume that it was dark blue at the time.
