in the video the body color appears to be a mixture of dark grey and black panels. it has a weird shimmering quality that shows the inconsistency of the panel material/paint. now that i look at the higher res photo on their facebook page, the body panels appear to have some carbon weaves on it ( at least the hood and the door). that might explain the shimmering effect in the video too. it definitely looks like they are testing the car in a light weight setting. by the way i am sure the experts on the board would be able to tell if the p1 was faster in this segment compared to lafe just by watching a video like this
Why is this talking over color configuration? I dont see this kind ok talking against the f40, 250 gto or any other legend. Every man's dream from 5yrs old is a red ferrari. Red collor/black roof/ silver or gold wheels is a classic combo. You give 1.5 million to buy an icon. Not a green collor supercar with beige interior. That would be a strange choice. Every F fan secret wish is that laf will smash the ring record. It's not very important but would be great.
great now that we have the representative of all men in the world. where is the black roof in the classic cars like f40 and 250gto? green laferrari wouldnt be bad depending on which green you are talking about. as far as i recall there was only one official green in the 458 option menu. i would love to see that green car with a tan interior that you despise so much. to buy an icon you don't need to spend 1.5 mil, you can spend less than 1000 bucks for some louie vitton wallet, an i-phone or a pair of air jordan.
We're in 2014 and some people are just not buying the "a Ferrari has to be red" thing anymore. All colours are equally beautiful because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Plus, they're now used to choose among a nearly infinite colour range so just don't tell them the most exclusive Ferrari needs to be ordered in the most common of the colours. That just doesn't work for the 100% of the buyers. As for the ring and laptimes, sooo much BS out there, but honestly who wouldn't like straight, true laptimes to simply, openly and honestly compare these machines' performances??? It has been done since cars were invented, now it is just fearful manufacturers trying not to end up as loosers, boo...

I doubt it. Of course tech and data from LaF will be used in the project, but I doubt this is a mule designated for that purpose. By the way, there are multiple LaF based projects (I can't elaborate any further than that), not just this future XX-like version. So if people spot something out of the ordinary it could be more than the tip of the iceberg you read about in the news.
Interesting to watch the LaFerrari driver negotiate the toll booth. He couldn't just roll the window down and get his arm close enough to deposit money. he had to open the door! Fuinny!
Exciting stuff! Any information you can give us would be brilliant. Btw you might find this interesting LaFerrari XX Spied on Nurburgring: Unofficially Timed at 6:35, Sounds Awesome [Video]
But with the 'Ring the weather conditions change all the time so it's impossible to give a fair comparison to other times. I have not heard anything about this time. 6:35 is fast regardless of what type of car it is. For instance the Nürburgring is a lot bumpier today than it was when Bellof set his time. Article uses questionable grammar when referring to the lap time? "Our photographers took the... time to clock a hot lap and it seems that the LaFerrari XX finished the Nordschleife job in 6:35."

Zonda r did it in 6 47 on slicks, this car is not on slicks(you can zoom in on the High res pictures and see) Quite pleased with that time!
Is this actually the XX version? Or are the writers of that article just being lazy and assuming it is?
can't wait the first official press test of the laferrari!. Should be very funny after month and month of marketing propaganda by porsche and mclaren to notice the car is the best on both side(emotion, numbers)
I would like to know who the driver is. The less "local" he is, the more impressive any official time will be. Remember guys, 6:35 is a RUMOUR. Even though some photographer supposedly timed it, we have ZERO evidence or solid source disclosing any time.
