John, Use Sphere Motorsports in Houston for a PPI. Mark is the owner, haven't meet him yet but he services more Ferrari's in a month than all other dealers in Houston combined including Ferrari of Houston. About the 2002 Ferrari 575 at Ferrari of Houston. Blue/Red. It's been for sale for over a year. The price started at 119995 and is down to 99995. For two weeks in December 2013 the price dropped to 95995. I believe it needs major service plus probably the recalls/updates in some areas. Probably some stickys as well need to sorted. It has the 18 inch wheels with crap General tires. I have a set of the rare 19 inch Modulars if you are interested. The only reason it has not sold is because of the color combo. Personally I think it's stunning. I would make an offer in be low to mid 80s cash out the door. Mat
Absolutely WOULD NOT recomend buying sight unseen in this case. Get Mark from Sphere involved. I do know him, straight shooter and a great guy.
Must be on consignment? Odd choice of tire brand. Strange they would not do all the services and certainly the updates, if the dealer owned the vehicle?? If you fly in, come eat at Cavatori's, it's down the street from Sphere, as is my place!
I also would recommend Mark at Sphere. I have seen the 575 you are considering, though I have not looked at it closely at all. It's a very pretty car and I actually love the color combo. I'd also recommend dealing with Joe at FOH. He's been straight up dealing with me. Let us know!
+1 for spherre, ive used mark before when i purchased my first ferrari 2007 f430, mark is great, honest and straight to the point, go to guy for any exotic!
+1 I used Mark last year and was happy except don't expect a fast turn around on getting the report, it takes them a few days to shot that out to you..
