When will the anti-Aussie button get pressed at RBR then ? Craap pitstops, engine and gearbox malfunctions, poor strategy calls... Cant be far away if Dr Marko is involved..
But of course, after all.................he IS a 4 time World Champion! Will be great to see how the rest of this season pans out. I am sure we are all looking forward to it.
We'll see how Vettel goes from here... I must say I wonder if his 'best pals' comments this weekend were a bit of reverse psychology, but I also don't believe the team are going to knobble one of their own - going to be an interesting season.
That was part of my reasoning for believing Daniel wouldn't have a chance. What I didn't count on was that Marko actually likes Daniel and knows him quite well, as opposed to the "outsider" mark was.
Yes...Daniel is doing a great job of beating Vettel...esp when Vettel's car is broken down. I think Webber transferred his luck to Vettel when he left. Two break downs in one weekend for Vettel so far!! If the team rallies around Daniel he might do ok, but if it's like when Webber was in the team and everything was done for the golden boy, then I still think he'll be fighting a losing battle.
Here you go....since you're intent on being a smart arse about it, you can ignore this too if Daniel beats Vettel tonight. Sebastian Vettel will start from 15th on the grid after incurring a five-place grid penalty for a gearbox change on Saturday night. Vettel made it as far as Turn 3 on his Q3 lap before his Red Bull came to a halt and he reported a loss of drive over the radio. Vettel said he tried to nurse the car around the lap but it quickly became clear it would not be possible. "In Q3 I left the pits and was in first gear to leave. I went up to second gear and lost drive in second gear, went for third and had third so I decided to keep going because it's possible to do a lap without second gear around here, but by Turn 1 I was stuck in fifth gear and couldn't go up or down and lost drive and had to stop." After missing most of Friday practice with an electrical issue, Vettel admitted it had been a tough weekend.
Yep....will be much better for Daniel to beat a problem free Vettel. Hopefully the team will give Daniel their full support.
