My car is F 430 year 2008 Right hand drive F1 with ceramic brake. Now my right rear brake is not working seem that no brake fluid go through the caliper. There is no abs or any light in my odometer. My engineer checked my abs ecu with the computer they couldn't not get though this. He couldn't read anything from abs ecu.
Before I drove the car with low grip mode for a while and I can feel that whenever I brake my car fade to the right so I send to the shop and they said that my left front and right rear brake not working so they changed mode to race and sport mode then my left front brake start to work but now only right rear brake is not working. He suggested that my abs ecu might error or Sth.
Anyone have this experience before please suggest. Do I need to change my abs unit?
Can it fix and how? Because it quite expensive I just want to make sure that I really need to change.
I tried to search but couldn't find any thread... Please advise will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

This is something only a professional can help you fix. That ABS/Stability Control/E-Diff ECU is $4700 here so I would want to make sure that was the problem before swapping it and still having a problem. If the SD3 cannot read the outputs of the ECU, something is amiss. I assume your tech checked all the connectors to make sure nothing is loose? Those ECUs are not high failure items.

If you drive her at all, make sure it is not raining.

Fire the engineer and hire a mechanic.

    +1.

This might sound harsh.. But any nitwit can plug in the SD3 or Leonardo and get the reading. It means that the computer doesn't have any faults. Now, fix the problem.

I like to start at the beginning. Is the brake reservoir low on fluid? Then, flush the damn system. Braking systems have two circuits in an "X" one front wheel and opposite rear wheel. It sounds like one of your circuits is plugged or doesn't have fluid in it or leaking. The Bosch engineers designed the system so that even if the abs/asr fails, you can still stop the car and the braking system still works fine. The rear might lock with braking and ASR/ABS won't work. If you know all this already.. Then you know you need to hire someone else. fWIW, those abs pumps are pretty reliable.

Now you need someone who will go through the system and fix the problem.

    Good luck.

Well he is going to need the SD3 but he needs someone using it that isn't waiting for a big red neon arrow pointing at the part to change and that is what these guys seem to feel that is what the computers are for.

Such a valid post because I feel that these days so called mechanics have merely become "fitters", take the old part off throw it in the bin and fit a new part, there is no troubleshooting, no "lets try and fix what is not working".

My motto has become to find the guy who is prepared to take the time and do things properly and yes pay for that time because I know he will do the job properly as apposed to simply a trial and error "remove and fit" type job. Its really worth paying for a good mechanic.

Thank you so much for all your advises. Your advises are very valuable. I will start with all mechanic things then will try to reconnect with the computer again.

If you can't get fluid through the caliper the crossover tube may have become plugged. When the brake fluid gets old it will turn to a sticky substance. Clean the tube and re-bleed the caliper. Good luck!
