Love the fact the LaFerrari is getting amazing reviews. The P1 and 918 laid down a serious gauntlet - regardless of track times - LaF appears to be the most exhilerating car to drive. I didn't realize that it's different from the other 2 cars with the E power being available all the time. HY-KERS appears to be best choice, and a much better alternative than turbos for future cars; fully expect the 458 successor to incorporate this.
Just confident that ferrari will produce another masterpiece!maybe they will reduce the turbo lag to zéro.
It won't be, it IS a turbo. Anyone here feel just a bit relieved that it appears Maranellos have created something very special after all the negative speculation from some? I know Ferrari simply cannot produce a bad car today, but the P1 gauntlet set the bar pretty high, and the delays, the Fanboys, all were beginning to make me question myself. On performance terms, judging from the reviews, the chances are the 918 will be the least intoxicating and it will be a two way fight. Regardless of lap time, the mere fact the LF is clearly right up there, marginally quicker or slower than the P1, it wins on two simple and unarguable points, sound and brand.

C&D: "Thankfully, we were also allowed some time with the car on the road. We took it up into the hills outside Maranello, which are tight and undulating. There, the car magically started to shrink. The steering is odd in that it returns absolutely zero road feel; the electrically assisted power steering numbs out any hint of street surface, even big blemishes." " What makes its over-the-road suppleness even more amazing is that it doesn’t have the 458’s real-time adjustable magnetorheological dampers. It just has these very cool, two-mode (normal and “bumpy road” Öhlins coil-overs, which are expensive but not necessarily cutting-edge." Did that idiot even drive the car? First of all, it has hydraulic assistance and secondly all other publications said that the feeling is sublime!!! Thirdly, the car does have magnetorheological dampers!
What a very strange comment, since all the other reviews (whom have also driven the cars on public roads) praised the steering feel. They've said it was the best of all the current Ferrari's, both on track and on the public road. Smooth and forgiving.
'Relieved' is an interesting word. It almost hits the mark (for me) because there were SO MANY people openly stating the car would be a failure (especially in comparison to the other two hypercars). But as rational people would often reply, "Ferrari knows how to make sports cars. Why would LaFerrari be so far off the mark?" So in the end I knew it would be a firecracker, but my 'relief' stems from other people who wanted the car to fail so badly (for whatever reason) to read how capable it is for themselves. The fanatic rancor and petty squabbles will end only if one car is shown to be clearly head and shoulders above the others in comparative tests. Those tests (if they ever happen) seem to be the next milestone in the saga of the hybrid hypercar saga. Lord help us on that day!
He is an idiot, because gives different opinion to SS and other British journos? The last one (SS) don't have two sentences with correct facts in the last few months (5G, E-mode, etc.)
He is an idiot because he made two blatant mistakes. First he said that the steering rack is electrically assisted, when even my mother knows that all Ferraris have hydraulic power steering and then he finished it off by saying that the car doesn't have magneto shock absorbers. I cannot take him seriously when he doesn't know his right from his left.
Taken from his Twitter: chris harris ‏@harrismonkey 8 h Reason the Evo, Autocar boys have their vids up is that they're further up the food chain. Kind of understandable given my recent history! chris harris ‏@harrismonkey 8 h So I'm not allowed to say anything outside the nominated outlet about the LaFerrari until 26 May. I can, however, confirm that it is red.
I'm trying to keep this thread on topic. But unfortunately every time someone makes a thread with the name LaFerrari in the title, the bickering and unrelated arguments insume. Some fanboy says something to another fanboy to provoke him, and then you have it going. (like mark antar amongst others has done so far)

Tough luck for QR, which always delivers great reviews... The car was clearlytip-toeing around the wet track.
Traveller asked if anyone was relieved that LaFerrari was getting rave reviews. I responded that my relief stemmed not from myself doubting the car, but those of us that did now see for themselves that it is highly capable. I also expressed a desire to see the petty bickering end. I made no attempt to provoke anyone. I'm not sure how my comment was seen in any other way. A question was asked and a question was answered.
