Current 288 GTO values?

Last GTO I know of belonging to someone I know well, went for £1.06M GBP - low mileage and near perfect condition with perfect history.
The values are OUT OF CONTROL!

I'd say you will not find anything for less than 1.2m euros nowadays.

 

Buy a Carrera GT - I'm convinced the values are going to go up..... (AND it's a fabulous car!)

 

I personally know of a 5,000 KM car that sold for $2M USD. NO B.S.

You're going to have to start at the local Ferrari clubs and work your way up through networking to find out about one for sale that is the right car for you. Prices are going to be more then what you have recently heard. How do I know this since I'm in the process of acquiring a ________________ for a very good friend, I can tell you prices have gone into the sky and negotiating on a rare in demand car you're limited on negotiating on price and subject to some really ****** brokers who have nothing to do with the sale of the car at all so make sure you inspect it in person and also just to keep things very financially safe when buying something like this find a reputable Authorized Ferrari dealer or a highly trusted Ferrari enthusiast who can advise on the details of a 288 GTO. As for purchasing one since this is a lot of money involved, have a trusted Ferrari dealer you know and feel confident with to broker the deal on buying it, this way both sides are protected. I may be wrong but any high (EURO) dollar etc car you don't want to be working with someone that says "oh just wire me a deposit" next day they gone no 288 and no Money + your SOL = *hit Out of Luck*

There is a car for sale at €1.25m and Joe Macari has just started offering a car at £1.6m. A car sold in London for £1.3m 2 weeks ago.

A good car indeed sold in the US before Amelia for $1.925m

Market is seemingly very strong but average cars at big prices seem to stick.

 

FofNE recently sold one for $1.8M.....

That would be 56343, which I secured for a gentleman enthusiast client of mine, about 30 days ago. I've since turned down substantially more. A beautiful example FWIW.

 

Yes it was....I got to see it while it was there....they had an F40, 50, and Enzo as well.....out of all the 288 was by far my favorite....

Am I correct in thinking about 6 months ago 288's were sitting at $1mil for a decent example, if that's the case the market is really taking off.

I am assuming a 1 owner from new car would be the most sought after, bar those owned by F1 drivers and other "celebrities"

I think they were $1m a year ago or more.

 

It's all relative but prices may have been higher than that 1 Mil about a year ago.. I turned down 1.6 for my car in June '13.. Just an FYI.. and now It would take 2+ for me to part with it today.

Yes, totally possible. I knew they were over the $1m mark for more than year, just not exactly sure for how long.

Amenasce... I've been an ongoing member and strong participant of the FCA since 1975 (and am still a member today)... I have a few GREAT cars that would be perfect for their events, however, I had issues with the FCA on judging in the concours a number of years ago.. (I won't bother you with all the details here...unless you really want to know)...So for me, It's not worth it anymore...
Sour grapes...I don' think so........ It wasn't about the Trophy..I've got trophies coming out my ears... It was about a judge telling me "I was wrong" when he clearly knew nothing about my car and what he was talking about...
..So will I be there...doubtful...but you have stirred up the desire in me again..
Maybe show up just to browse...rekindle old friendships again... And if I do go.....It's all your fault!!! In a good way....

...And by the way... the guy I bought my 288 GTO from...bought it in late 1989 with 300 miles on it @ $1.5Mil FYI

It's funny (or sad) but you are not the first person to tell me they have issues with the FCA to the point where they do not want to go to any FCA event anymore (And like you, these people have quite the collection..). I always try to convince them to show up, just for the cars and the (new) faces. My father and i have been to a few and while it is nice to win a trophy, we went just to spend time together surrounded by amazing cars and friends. So i hope i did stir the desire for you to go .

39 250 GTO's @ $35M each = $1.365 Billion in total value for a 50 year old GTO

$1.365 Billion / 272 288 GTOs = $5,018,382 per car in the year 2024/2025 Why not!
