Thankfully, I don't need a collision repair place, but I was just wondering...
For those of us on Long Island, what happens if we are involved in a collision? I know that there are no Factory certified Ferrari shops around us, so where would we go?
Let's assume there is a collision where the car is incapacitated and needs to be towed to a facility to be repaired, who can we call? I know Bradan does great work, but they do refinishing work, not collision repair and frame straightening.
I wouldn't mind having a phone number handy of the best place around that is capable of working with aluminum panels, etc. that is known for working on Ferraris. You never know what can happen, I like to always have a plan. I would hate to be in a situation where I'm stuck on the side of the road and not know what to do.
I know it sounds a little paranoid, but these are the not so normal thoughts that I have when I'm driving a not so normal car.

Wow, that's hours away! I wonder if they would send a tow truck at midnight +/- if something were to happen?
That sounds bad...I guess I have to do me best to avoid an incident huh?

If the s*** hits the fan, I believe that Classic Coach would be your best bet. Too many negative reviews regarding WWOC as of late. AFAIK and from what I have seen, Classic Coach's work is top notch. Can anyone with personal experience weigh in?

Considering other geographic areas we are pretty lucky. 3 of the repair shops are within 3 hours of most of the tristate area.

I'm a fan of CC. Downside it is a slow turnaround time. No experience, but months ago spoke with the paint guy at WWOC, and thought they sounded like the real deal. But you really need to visit the shops and get your own comfort feeling. There is also a good shop in Mt Vernon and Danbury. No experience on the Island.

I looks like Classic Coach is the right answer. They are certified, and just over 1 1/2 hrs away, not that bad.
I guess if the poop hits the fan, I would have to get it towed to my house, then picked up by them? Is that the proper procedure in a situation like this?
I'm just hoping that I never need a body shop!

J&B Body Works in Mt Vernon. Miller Motor Cars uses them. A little over an hour away from us Chris.

Thanks guys! I now have a few options, just in case. I don't know why I became worried all of a sudden. The last accident I had was in 1988 and it was minor. I guess I like to always be prepared, and hate that feeling of not having an answer at my weak moments (like being stranded on the road).
When I first bought the Ferrari, I had a similar question about tow companies that were capable of safely towing the car, just in case I wound up stranded with a mechanical.
I guess being stranded with a flat tire on my first day with the car left scars! LOL

Classic Coach used to do Ferrari's work on any cars damaged in shipping coming into the country. I don't know if that's still the case.

I believe FOCNJ uses a local shop called Ultimate Collision Repair in Edison NJ.
