Another little project has been completed that may be of interest to forum members. I wanted to find good copies of the original grain of rubber heel pad mats for my cars. The version Luppi offer isn't correct but up until now was the best I could find. The ones sold by Mr Fiat which are sourced from Cicognani I believe are completely wrong. I then discovered that O'Rourke Coach Trimmers offered a correct mat for the passenger bulkhead mat but had never been able to find unmarked originals to make the two floor mat pads. I had a set of unmarked original factory mats so I duly despatched them to Rorky and he has used them to make perfect moulds. He can now supply full sets to order for anyone interested.

These heel pads are correct for later M series models and all E series cars AFAIK. The same set was used for both RHD and LHD models by the factory. If you are keen to get the details correct on your car then these are highly visible items so very worthwhile getting right.

He also made me a perfect copy of the clutch foot rest plate that was fitted to RHD cars.

You can contact him via Shop - O'Rourke CoachTrimmers

You're right about later M cars Iain. RHD #01616 has the early foot pads with the wide pattern footrest, as in UK Motorsport Sept '71. Notice the "quality" of the original factory stitching along the top and corner of the passenger footpad. It's staying that way.

As I said in my original post Luppi's version is not correct. I have a couple of sets of theirs and the grain is very different.

Do these pads just sit on the carpet? I would love a set.

While those nicely shown pieces are correct for UK RHD cars, three of the four are also correct for LHD Dinos too. The exception and missing item is the clutch rest for LHD which is on the left and not reversible from RHD Dinos. Hence O'Rourke did not have the capabiliity to provide full sets of LHD Dino heel pads.

But that is about to change.
I contacted AJ at O'Rourke and offered him my two E series Dinos LHD clutch pads and he fab'ed up a mold. The first pieces should be ready soon.
