    Exactly.

Yet, the bickering will inevitably continue, which is a pity.

Funnily enough none of these cars will ever reach pontoon fender 250 TR levels of notoriety.

Good post, in addition there are few circumstances where any of the three can be driven really quickly on the road. Sure you can take objective facts and try to find a winner that way but as I have said many times, I don't think too many human being live their lives in a totally objective way.

Its quite telling of the reviews I have watched there hasn't been much rambling about figures but rather more about the experience.

It's a bit like the old Countach v TR arguments, different strokes for different folks.

    Precisely.

From experience the only people that really care about numbers are children and forum trolls. And more often than not those two are the one and same.

Laptimes I'm not even going to comment....

End of the day all the cars are sold and they will continue to get sold over again and again. They are all different and unique in their own way. Each car has a certain triumph. Unless one of them is more than marginally faster than the others (which I doubt is the case), choosing a favorite is down to personal preference.

Have someone info how many LaFerrari was on test drives. Yes I know about 2, when they tested LaFerrari on Fiorano track, it was red/black exterior and black alcantara seats and red leather and 4-point safety belts and plate on steering wheel Fernando Alonso.....when they tested LaFerrari on normal roads it was red/black exterior and black alcantara seats and black leather and normal safety belts and plate on steering wheel F150.....have someone info about more LaFerrari on test drives?

exactly. there are a few who claimed lap time as irrelevant and yet continuously felt the needs of defending a mysterious source of this particular car doing off the chart ring time. i remember those relentless pages a few months ago.

The same car should be used for the road and track drives. Otherwise it seems like ones set up for each situation.

Rubbish. One car had 4 point harnesses for track driving and the other had standard seat belts for road usability.

It is an obsession of little consequence, to some degree encouraged by some of the companies themselves that seek to get a place in the sun alongside Ferrari. As for Ferrari, it has rarely made the fastest road car at any point in time. But they have always been fast and exciting, and often beautiful.

It depends on what you mean by the term "fastest". Ferraris usually are at the top of their segment when they come out. The Enzo broke R&T's all times acceleration records, the 599 was the fastest V12 supercar in its price range, the 458 was only surpassed by the upgraded 12C years later and I am sure that the LaFerrari will also rewrite the record books. If you are referring to top speeds, Ferrari isn't interested in those for the past 10 years at least.

Good point but I also believe they should have used the same car for both tests. Feels a tad more honest.

That wouldn't have been very practical since they needed one track car with the harness lapping the track and at the same time another car out in the hills. They don't dedicate a whole day to each and every journalist. It's a time management issue.

So they shouldn't use the same car for both test? I seem to recall that the the others drove the other 2 brands on the road and track using the SAME vehicle. Which makes sense. At least you know how the car transitions from one to the other. But then again I guess if you want to test a Ferrari you play by their rules?

Actually not! When Chris Harris drove the P1, the one on the road had a different plate number to the one he drove at the track. That is standard procedure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb8tGX-HPQE

Funny how people always pick on Ferrari though...

Oh, I see a car for the track and a car for the hills. Sounds like business as usual huh? And they only had one day for this test? The journalist got three laps each. How many were there, 5 or 6? At a minute 20 a lap, that's not too long. Hmmmmm...... just a thought.

You are mistaken... once again. These things take a lot of time. See my previous post about the P1.

They've used at least 2 LaF for the reviews. One has the number plate 145, the other is 146. I think I've seen both pictured on the public road amongst the various reviews.

    Will do some quick research...

Correct they don't give each journo a single car for the day. There is a planned schedule that cycles through the days that the factory arranges test drives. You will for instance be given a slot on circuit at 9AM for a set duration time. Then at 1PM you will be given a slot for road testing which you must return the car by let's say 4-5PM.

This often results in mid-day pauses for the journalists. For some it results in their day starting late, remains hectic and ends late. For others, it starts early, long lunchbrake and ends late. For others, starts early and ends early. They are all individually cycled through each "station".

It looks like xp7 on the street and the still shots on the track said xp7.

So they have cars for the track and cars for the street. I see, we will have to wait for a customer car to see how it goes from the street to the track then.

Read my comment again. I said I believe recalling seeing BOTH cars on the public roads.

Don't push it with provocation, we don't want another fanboy blowup in this thread. Mods will issue bans, as happened with several users over the weekend in another LaF thread. Don't mistake this as a threat, because it isn't. It's what's called an observation.

No problem, don't want that happening. I'm a Chevy fan for the record. Plan on purchasing a Z06...
