So there will probably be a lot more P1 , 918 group test. And do the LaFerrari owners have to get an OK from Ferrari to make sure the car is ready to represent the brand. I seemed to have gotten that vibe. My gf works at laguna Seca and has seen some... Let's just say a more controlled or hands on approach to testing than other makes. Most companies drop the cars of and say don't wreck it... Then again, they aren't dropping off Ferrari...

I'm not sure the LaFerrari could make a full lap at Seca. It sounds like it might be too loud at full throttle. Which would be a shame because that track is really hard on a car.

On a "quiet day" a P1 wouldn't be allowed to do a full hard lap either. Quiet days at Laguna are kept 90db. Unlimited days are the quick days anyway, otherwise the F2003-GA wouldn't have the track record there, and it does.

back from my ban... it's apparent that you are not understanding what I and other posters are saying. it may be a language thing, all lost in translation. you cannot win because it is a DISCUSSION. can you understand that? my opinions are not fact, and neither are yours (ie, "LaF is not so impressive" and that your P1 is "better") you answered none of my questions, you only keep repeating "you can not imagine other people can think differently...you can not imagine something better elsewhere" to me and to other members here, implying that I (and they) am/are simple minded... of narrow view (since everyone and their mothers are getting banned, shouldn't you get banned for that?) when you are doing exactly what you are accusing others of doing. Understand or not, I am now done 'discussing' with you. Thanks for 'participating', and enjoy your P1.

I think it's 92db,but like that really matters. Hopefully they can test all 3 cars there.

My thoughts exactly. Even though I don't think that even TG will get a factory car for testing, as they didn't get an Enzo either.

I was also given a ridiculous ban. I wonder why he hasn't been banned as the reason you and I were banned is:

Obviously, in the eyes of the moderator, questioning someone's fanatical claims is unacceptable and "putting them down".

Beware people, because I own 150 Ferrari's and have 10 LaF on order! If you question my claims or at all disagree with me the moderator will give you a 24 hour ban ASAP!

And if all three lift as they pass the sound tower after 5 it's a level play ...

I would much rather read owners' opinions, biased or not.

Than those who have never driven the cars criticising such opinions.

Impossible to to do it equally. May be Cota is the best circuit for a test.

You see, I can agree with you. I never thought you could be simple-minded. And it is true, as you think, I've never driven the Laferrari. So it is obvious that I can not give an objective opinion on the Laferrari and I probably exaggerated. It is certain that the ferrari is an exceptional car. I say again, I hope one day, and I think it will happen, to drive on track with the owners of the Laferrari.

then why did you say lafe is not as fast as your p1 then?

" You can’t see further than the tip of your nose. One thing is sure, when you press the accelerator with P1 is an explosion, an explosion of senses, apocalyptic. This is something you can’t have with the Laferrari. Ferrari has the same type of acceleration that F12 faster, that's all. Nothing revolutionary. It's fast, very fast but not so impressive. "

this is what you typed. for some one who has never driven the car and made such bold claim shows how ignorant and irrelevant this person's opinion is. it really wasn't a debate, it was a simple rant of a frustrated person, for what ever the reason was.

but it is smart to go soft and back track now since level of censorship is high.

I made an obvious observation based on the poster's rants, I used a descriptive word that was deemed a 'put down' (there can be no debate about the "I love P1, I am possessed, because it's the mostest fastest and bestest sounding, and you only love LaF because of brand, you cannot see that there is better out there, the LaF is not so impressive, etc, and not bothering to answer any of my legit questions" being ludicrous...in essence calling me, and others blind and stupid and our opinions of lesser).

But yes, I am done with that person, so whatevs. Moving forward, is it ok if I say that the POST of an individual is "unhinged", and not the poster himself...is that considered a personal attack? or can we no longer comment regardless of how ridiculous someone's attempt at a discussion is? can we no longer question someone's sensibility even though they volunteered such? are we to say "that's your opinion, thanks for calling me stupid" and leave it at that?

Funny thing is after watching quite a few videos of the LaFerrari I have begun to warm to it.

This thread though is very sad, but also interesting in a weird way. While I fully expect young maybe teenages to argue about which car gives them the biggest solo orgasim, I really didn't expect people of sufficient status and wealth that they can actually purchase one to resort to this level. Interesting.

It also appeals that I have been proven wrong as I always thought most people bought these sorts of cars as investments, instead it appears they are bought to prove they are/were right.

Moving forward. Water under the bridge. Best thing to do if we don't like a post is press the red and white triangle, report it and mods will keep the thread civilzed.

    This thread is not sad.

People buy these million dollar cars for enjoyment. Only rarely for investment. If you think these cars are purchased as an appreciating asset then it shows you really don't understand.

Also please don't belittle the buyers to say these cars are bought to prove they are right. They are free to express why they like their cars just like a guy is free to express why he likes his football team, his kind of music etc. anything.

You see with you, it is useless to discuss. We try to be more positive but you keep attacking. And it's not a problem of translation. You give opinions on the cars that you have not tested. I drove P1. Not ferrari, ok. But what is said and the video is the same type of acceleration that 458 but much stronger (and 458 is not explosive, it is very linear as FF or F12). A v12 even with an electric motor can not have a turbo explosiveness who is assisted by an electric motor (i prefer this kind of acceleration because for me it's more sensational, that's it). If you try a P1 you would understand but I think it will never happen.

Actually they also tested the 918. It set a new production car record from 0-60mph in 2.4s which is 0.2s faster than P1 (2nd fastest) and 0.3s faster than the Veyron.
