    BRADAN, Very disappointed...

First off, I struggled to post this but I feel it's necessary to help out any fellow member.

I purchased another set of calipers for my 355 and sent them to Bradan on 12/4/2013 to be painted yellow. It's now 5 months later and they are not back in my hands - I paid for them right away.

I did tell Dan that I was not in any big rush but I surely was not expecting this. To make matters worse, they were done and he shipped them to me mid-March. However, they poorly packaged them, one single piece of thin bubble wrap (not taped) and placed in a box way too large.

Result = they got beat to crap in shipping and needed to be done all over.

Dan's made promise after promise to me such as "They are packed up and ready to ship tomorrow" and then weeks go by. He also takes forever to respond to email.

I'm sure they will make good so I'm not worried about the money but I just don't deal with such unprofessional companies. This is very poor.

Here is a comment from a shop that purchased my seats:

"I have yet to stop laughing....

When the opportunity presents itself, share with me the engineering studies, blueprints and the results of the earth quake tremor testing that was done on this box PLEASE! ZERO chance of these getting damaged in transit, they are even bolted down via the tracks! PRICELESS!"

I have bought 2 items from Bruce and yes, he knows what he is doing!!

In my business we deal with shipping parts all over the country and world and it's pretty common sense.

Easy rule to remember: Shake the box, if there is any movement - repack or you will be sorry.

    Dave,

I understand your frustration in this situation and do feel bad. Calipers and wheels we stopped offering as a mail in service because of how difficult and lengthy the process is and many times parts have been damaged in shipping.

Calipers in general are ready dirty and covered in oil which makes the process difficult. We do not powder the coat the calipers a general yellow which would make the turn around time very quick. We paint them the correct Ferrari color code with takes a tremendous amount of prep work. Even after the fact we do have imperfections which makes us repeat the whole process again to correct. I communicated this with you.

All emails are answered with in 24-48 hours accept for weekends which has been has been the case with david.

    Dave,

They were fully stripped as promised. The issue is the paint spider cracks
under the clear when drying to quickly. The odd texture of the metal just
does that sometimes. If you look at the raised metal line under the
ferrari script it's cracked along the edge also. The other calipers came
out perfect just have to redo this one.

    > Dan, I can still see the chip below the paint. You were supposed to strip
    > these 100% and redo. I'm getting very frustrated with this experience.

I'm not making excuses for how long the calipers take. I apologize for how long and frustrating the process has been for you.

They are done and have to reassembled for shipping. I cannot assemble them until the refinished caliper is fully dry. I jumped the gun last week and left a finger print in the clear.

wow! since December? 6 months is crazy.

braden should have initially told customer that they cannot do the job rather than put him through this. its spring time and assume owner would like to drive his car.

I jumped the gun and noticed a finger print when I packed them up. It is what it is. The process took a very long time and I apologize for that.

Your right. I figured a few days delay to get it sorted out was not a big deal and thats my fault.

It certainly would not have been a big deal if it was not 5 months Dan...

You know I was very patient for a long time. You making me promises over and over got us here. And if you need to redo these so often I would suggest you may not have the proper experience.

    I agree.

I do not let work leave until it's perfect and sometimes it does take a very long time. As far as experience we have painted over 150 sets of calipers to date. 2 out of every 10 have issues it's just part of it. The same goes for wheels.
