Waiting list as always depends on the size of your dealer and where you live. Most places in the US are horrible... European dealers are nice, you can get a car within 4 months even as a first time buyer. My local dealer told me the first customer cars will arrive in September this year.

I think for once they will ship the US and Europe about the same time instead of waiting 9 months.

I'm sure Ferrari will say the car is already sold out for 2 years at Geneva but don't believe it. What they mean is that the dealers believe they will have enough customers in the pipeline to supply cars for the next 2 years.

If you're a first time buyer, there will be a wait but not as bad as the 458 when it came out.

Dealers are putting together lists now and I think they will get their allocations in the next 1-2 months in the US. Then they will be officially for sale.

In the UAE I've placed a deposit yesterday on a July build / August delivery.

They don't have all the options clarification yet so I've selected some options but I've been told everything can be changed / finalized next month.

The one thing that bothered me is they insisted to add the small spare wheel. It occupies the trunk space and is about $2500. My 2011 California didn't have this and I don't see this being a regulatory requirement (which is what the sales rep insisted it was).

Looking forward to my first Rosso Corsa :)

That's ridiculous. Mandatory spare wheel, since when? The only special mandatory option for the UAE that I know of is the fire extinguisher, or has that been removed as a requirment know?

That too (the fire extinguisher) but I am happy to keep that option

However, the spare wheel is ridiculous like you stated. I will bring it up with them on my next visit.

Just got the brochure today from my dealer. That means they are ready to place orders soon in the US. My guess is a month.

I just visited the factory on Wednesday and saw several of them on the production line and several completed vehicles. I must say they really look sharp!

Not a word yet, Mitchell. But I just sent the deposit Monday. I will post as soon as I hear something. I'll probably email him tomorrow to confirm the check made it...

    Thanks for asking!

That is so funny as when i gave my check a little while ago, i checked with my bank every day to ensure they cashed it. I , in my life, never cared if someone cashed my check :)

I know what you mean... I just got the email acknowledging receipt of the check! Soon I will be obsessively mulling over colors and options...

Heard that too, but it depends on when your specific dealer gets a build slot. With August closed at Ferrari realistically one should expect a Q4 delivery ( please no hurricanes in Jersey this year :) )
