Instead qualifying should be counted on amateur drivers's times. That'll get him to up his game!

I didn't see the race, only the highlighted bits, but it could well be possible he's able to string one or two laps together without going off and laptimes would be fine. It appears to me he's very inconsistent and has very little understanding of racing rules.

He needs a lot of time with a coach and be made to write the rule book 12 times over...

Maybe I can lend him my copy of Ross Bentley's 'Speed Secrets' for some light reading while they retrieve his car from the kitty litter! Or when he approaches a corner, just flip through the pages to the chapter on letting the car take a set and friction circles. Kinda like how airline pilots sometimes refer to flight manuals in real time. Hehe.

His off's weren't solo's - but mistakes from losing his cool under pressure.

As mentioned - its possible for someone to string together from fast laps and qualify - racing is an entirely different and much rarer skill set.

Most people on a kart track - once I get to 2-3 lengths of them, will lose their cool - and off themselves just like this guy.

Buona sera! I met this driver during the photo shoot for season 2014 drivers at Monza on Saturday AM...Marco S. and the young Russian driver are being "funded" by this gentleman/bronze driver...additionally I drove with hi in Gt Open on several occasions last year with Marco S. as co-driver...in these situations when you are passings these guys one usually knows who is in the car and whether you can "trust them" or not...the quality of drivers in GT Open vs BES is not different but the number of cars is and when Marco had the car in the top 3-4 overall the "red mist" took over trying to keep up with the fast guys...best to realize when one "runs out of talent" before it gets expensive/dangerous....the guys "writing the check" are not going away and you have to deal with them...IlDottore/Asterix(Stephen Earle MD)
