    I was going thru my box of unused parts when I stumbled on this piece i forgot to install.

    I found Newman's picture of it installed but that's with the motor out. I can't remember if this goes in easy or will i need to take a day off from work to get her done.

    Just did my alternator '82 GTSi this heat shield is the front shield by the alt. I pulled the aluminum water pipe from the water pump and the shield slides in easier. Just put a pan under the lower slip joint and let the coolent drain. Hope this helps. Rgds Wayne

    If you take the two pieces apart first, they go in pretty easy without moving anything about. Getting to the two bolts to put them back in, once the pieces are in place, is pretty easy to do from underneath.

    Thanks for the detail pictures. After seeing them, now I know its important to put back in.

    Now i can import, our goverment, not permit we spend my money out side of country.- And not permit post import any item to Argentina.- (it like Cuba or Venezuela ...:( )
