So what you're saying is that with more runs the MotorTrend test car could be even quicker of. A properly prepared track. I agree with you there. We'll have to wait for a proper test in America. Like the lightning lap at Virginia or best drivers car at laguna Seca. Same day same driver no support teams. Run what you brung.
Just admit to the world you think a lap in rain and full of puddles is a significant measure of a car's potential, so that we can all be sure to ignore everything you have to say going forward. BTW, anyone know when we're going to see snow laps for the LF?
The interesting thing is that if the Autocar review were LaFerrari's times a few people here - blatantly obvious who the are - would be SCREAMING on every forum how Ferrari are liars, can't be trusted etc. Instead there is alot of backpeddling etc. The P1, LaFerrari, & 918 are all murderously fast and impressive; as many have said for different reasons. Some on here really need to lighten up and get away from the keyboard for a while.
Probably first place where in one place (garage) will all 3 cars (LaFerrari,......,.......) is Netherlands. Owner is man which own first LaFerrari in Netherlands, BUT think that all cars will stay only in garage. In the end of this month or start of june, will be collection complete. In this moment are in garage red/black LaFerrari and orange P1................this is only information, because I am interested only in LaFerrari, but these informations I read from person which did photos Netherlands LaFerrari in owner garage.
Yeah, 950 lb/ft of torque doesn't feel all that fast. I'm sure it'll romp on the P1 in every condition, sans optimal, up to 100MPH at least.
Don't get me wrong, I like the 918. And I defended it 2 months ago, see post #7106 https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/288gto-f40-f50-enzo-laferrari/388428-ferrari-f70-laferrari-vs-mclaren-p1-vs-porsche-918-a-356.html#post142964523 We know it's huge torque curve. What I'm talking about is the subjective driving experience, hence I capitalized the word "FEEL". https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/general-automotive-discussion/440405-cars-feel-fast-cars-dont.html http://jalopnik.com/porsche-918-proves-0-60-times-are-total-bull****-1558177494 (don't fully agree with it.)
918 owners rejoice - your first review is here. 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder First Test - Motor Trend All Pages The braking complaints continue. Might just take a while to remap the brain behind the wheel but doesn't sound intuitive the way they operated. >8^) ER
918 0-60 in 2.4 seconds. A record they said And 1.49G lateral G's pulled at peak at Willow if I'm reading right! WOW!
I wonder why they didn't test it against a gt2 or gt3rs or a turbo porsche. They'd have to be at least 2-3 secs faster a lap than the 991. And I'm sure that they would break better. Hmmmmmm.
Well P1 is 2 sec faster then F12 on Autocar track but it still costs more then twice but you guys aint talking about that. Or say Nissan GTR...
Well we all know from all the post here that the p1 doesn't measure up to the 918 or the LaFerrari, but it's close though. And that's good enough for me.
Its just sad that you guys (McLfans) are just waiting for every tiny negative just to highlight it. You are not talking about how this thing is fastest to 100, you guys go on about how its not fast enough since it "only" beat 911 by 5 seconds. At the same timea you are grasping at straws eversince McL failed at the Ring. Now since P1 on Autocar test is "only" 2 sec faster then SS and F12 two puddles must have been to blame. Truly incredible reasoning... You guys certainly love numbers considering you found nothing wrong with "lost Ring lap time. I mean...its dangerous and we shouldnt encourage it
