    Just curious…

as a CS owner myself…. and watching the CS Market thread.

I know we ALL love our cars to death!! but at what price point would make you think…. Hmmmm time to sell?

i know some of you will say, you'll be buried in it… just wondering about everyone else!

sell when you are tired of the car...if you have to think about price points are you sure you can afford the car ? I am firmly of the belief that people that think about depreciation can't afford their car. You like the car keep it, you don't anymore sell it.

I dread the day i have to sell my 360 but it will be because I can't afford it anymore, no other reason and I am not talking about depreciation, I am talking about maintenance, insurance and repairs.

Oh C'mon Mike.....his car is appreciating. That is a rare thing and not to be overlooked. My last hobby car prior to my F-Car doubled in value and as it rose in value I started to enjoy it less and less....hence selling it for basically a straight across trade into my 360. Each of you lucky guys will need to find a way to process this info. Some should get out and take the cash and a different car that you may have wanted to try, some will hold on and never enjoy the car the way it was designed to be enjoyed, some will just be hard core studs who are keeping that sucker for life and don't need to think about the lost revenue potential. To me it looks like they are going the way of the GT3 RS and out of my league for now.

I am a sensible dude, I could be quite happy with a sweet 360 Modena and a 100K to fool around with...but that is just me.

One interesting observation is the awesome planned event for the CS owners to get together that has been cancelled or is about to. The guys who arent able to break away from the machine to enjoy the car for a week or so seem to be the majority.....This is worth taking notice of.

I would only sell if there is a car I wanted more, that I could afford.
This is true for my Modena.

I don't care what price it reaches. Nothing made since is worth a damn. Only pre 2004 cars for me.

Did this topic really need a new thread?

I am happy to note Stradale values on the rise (and rightfully so), but to date this does not have me thinking about parting with it. I am not sure that the high value of it would sway me one way or the other. I like it for what it is no matter if it's $150,000 or $300,000 +.

I am going to get in trouble from other CS owners for this but.... if the price of CS ever comes within 10-20K of a 16M, I am going to trade in.

It's a pretty legit comparison and I would consider the same if I didn't despise convertibles.

16M is too "over the top" for Atlanta. It's a "gangsta whip" around here.

In the long run, the CS has the capability of being a Million dollar car.

What part of town you live in?

Convertible with "bling" vents and big wheels etc..... You'll get shot driving in a 16M in Buckhead.

Once you get into the exotic car market, you cannot get out unless your willing to take a big hit. Though the CS is not a bad buy depending on when you bought it. Just gauge your CS to what's been selling on the market and see if your comfortable with that price to sell.

I think the CS is going to be a very collectible car. It will be in the same league as the 288 GTO, 512TR M etc. it's the first street legal race car since the F40. Now I'm not saying it's gonna be in the F40 range but it won't be too far behind. Time wise. Probably a decade plus or minus a few years. Those that have them hold on to them. It's the greatest car they produced since the F40. The Scuderia 430 will be second fiddle. It's not faster then The 430 Scuderia or 458 but it's raw. It's Ferrari with all the necessary trimmings to satisfy the appetite. CS is king of the modern Ferrari's. The Enzo lovers. Yes. Enzo is in a class with the F40. So I guess I stand corrected. CS greatest modern Ferrari since the F40 and Enzo. F50 is great piece as well but she is ugly. She's the daughter daddy is trying to marry off to anyone under the sun. She's rich but ugly. No sex appeal. Yes you can bang her but you'll be thinking about the F40 and CS in order to blow your load. That sucks. My order:

    1. F40 - a real b*tch thru and thru
    2. Enzo even though it would cost more - high class hooker
    3. CS - young hot piece of ass that is giving you a run for your money.

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

You should live in the UK, it's possible you'd get a 16M for the value of your CS and have a significant amount of cash left over!

...a low mileage RHD CS has apparently sold privately for over $365,000 in the UK (£215,000). There are a number up at £200,000. The one 16M at 8,000 miles is £175,000.
Don't be in a rush to move though, the roads are mostly terrible and then there are the speed cameras....!

I believe the highest priced sold CS to date was asking £170k, I have seen mention of the £215k car sold privately but this remains hearsay. The last 2 Rosso 16M's both sold quickly at £185k.
