Hi All. Have made a major blunder rebuilding my 308QV fuse box. Have built a replacement blade system from scratch which worked brilliantly for one drive. Unfortunately the custom build and terminals I used did not lock on and only discovered this when the car lost power and eventually stopped. Inspection of my new fuse panel found that half of the wires had fallen off the new block. Wires all over the place......

Am hoping someone might be able to supply quite a few pictures of an standard fuse block from many angles so I can match the colours back up with the original terminal blocks. There are some pictures on the net which show the front coloured wires but not all the rear ones. Have worked most out but want to put back to exactly original configuration.

Also am working on the terrible handbrake system has anyone considered spacing the rear pully's 1.5cm further apart to provide greater leverage. Have replaced the main cables and still find not enough adjustment. Pulling the cable by hand while under the car provides more leverage than the existing system and stops the car from moving.

FYI to remove the centre console is very easy if you release the handbreak at the rear pully between the rear wheels allowing the handbreak to rise to the vertical position. Very easy to reconnect to.

Did you adjust the parking brake mechanism in the rear brake calipers?

Take a look in the 308 section and especially the stickies at the top - many people have posted about the handbrake especially throughout the section

Perhaps you should consider a Birdman fuse block replacement. Birdman could probably assist you with the wiring as well. Good product, low cost!

Your 308QV OM for your version (get the right one) has a schematic with all of the wire colours going to the fuseblocks clearly labeled. (Download your proper OM here: All Ferraris if you don't have a hardcopy or if you have a not-quite-year-version correct OM.)

PS I'll add you to the surprising number of first posters who have a problem ;)

Thanks to everyone who responded, found a circuit diagram that's close enough. Well laid out great can use it to fix other issues as well! Will build a few extra fuse blocks if the next version works.

Will keep reading on the handbrake have seen allot of information already mostly it says rebuild calipers. I still believe they are working due to cable being at 100% adjustment and still loose. Something is damaged in the tension system.

PS. Yes it is my first post on this Ferrari chat forum but it does still have the little hint on how to get the center console out. Am not completely without heart.

    Hi Everyone.

Thanks for the support. Have rebuilt the fuse box using blade fuses result looks good and fits in very well not quite perfect, could cut it to be perfect but wanted to make sure it worked first! Difference is each block holds 10 fuses so have screwed them in the middle only.

Total cost for parts including the fuses about $40 Aus. Piece of mind using new technology 100%. Extra time to modify the fuse block about 12min each.

Very easy job to do can supply photos and advice on the job, could not upload them for some reason. If I did it again I would make some minor improvements. Great part is all my Temperature and fuel Gauges do not change when I turn the headlights on and the second radiator fan works and primary works and full speed.

Next job fix the useless handbreak.

Thanks again all. If you would like to see pictures just email me at [email protected]

Even when fixed the handbrake is useless in winds over 5mph or any incline whatsoever.
