Video streaming - need to tap the Fchat brain trust ... Currently have a Synology DS1813+ NAS installed, with a collection of movies, amongst other things. Installed DS Video on my iPhone ... that allows me to stream video to it and send it to my TV using Airplay. However, since DS Video does not have an app for say a MacBook, I'm unable to stream video to it. Is there some other app or workaround that will allow me to do this? Thanks.

click on the hdd on the desktop ... from the menu, click on "connect to server" ... enter afp://xxx.xxx.x.xx the ip of yr nas ... u can then right lick on any video file and open with vlc ... it will then stream, as opposed to download then play ...
