    Here you go; perfect example

    My response:

And Harris said the P1 drives like a 12C...............if you don't want to be attacked as just another fanboy, try quoting the full statement; LaFerrari feels like a 458 'at normal speeds'; and the P1 feels like a 12C 'at normal speeds'.............not word for word quotes, but that's what was implied in both cases.

You manipulated quotes regarding the similarities between the driving characteristics of the 458 and LaFerrari.

    You said:
    The actual quotes were:
You never replied to that last comment stating exactly what the journalists said - I wonder why?

You attempted to put a negative spin on several positive reviews. You manipulated quotes. You made a fool of yourself.

    Don't think so.

"All of this is handled by computers, which is good, because when you’re driving what feels like a 1000bhp 458 Italia, you want to be keeping both hands on the wheel." Quote from CAR.

Because you genius submitted your post while I was replying to someone else. It drives like a 458, but way faster, everyone made it clear.

Its not said that it drives like 458, but that it is friendly and aproachable, just like 458 is. And that is very big compliment, but you are trying to make it negative. I can go to McLaren life and **** on P1 all day long but Im not like that. Have some respect for other manufacturers and their cars too.
Saying LaFerrari doesnt have its own personality? Absolute freaking joke.

Which is a great thing as the 458 is the best-driving car in the world. The LaFerrari has that marvelous connection with the driver and on top of that is out of this world fast and precise. Do you get it now???

The facepalms are endless.... You're the stupid one for not reading his post. Not him for posting it, genius.

You need help, you are severely delusional.

Great review. I like James May's understated style and the way he explained technical stuff in layman's terms. He appears smitten by the looks of the car.

Mirrors my experience when I saw one in the flesh (well - the full mock-up in Maranello). The proportions which sometimes seemed awkward in pictures (e.g. nose too long, hind quarters too long) just looked perfect.

"This is not a car with a 789bhp V12 petrol engine and a 161bhp electric motor. It’s a 950bhp car, and the electric motor is simply an element of the powertrain, in the way the alternator or the oil pump is."

    Nicely put.

I presume something to do with steering input/gear/throttle/brake. It can sense when you are decelerating and beginning to turn and adjust accordingly.

    So for now it's:

    James - LaFerrari
    Jeremy - McLaren P1
    Richard - Porsche 918

    for now, it's a tie ;)

Not the worst but not the best. Most of the tracking shots you see on tv are done by drivers from a company called Driving Wizards, run by Niki Faulkner.

Hardly surprising this is how the TG trio currently see it. Hammond will only ever go for Porsche, Clarkson is Xenophobic and that leaves May. Imagine if at this stage they all agreed the P1 was it-would that help viewing figures?

Everyone is seeking a 'which is the best' answer and personally I doubt there will ever be a clear answer. They are simply 3 incredible answers to the future of Hypercars interpreted in three different ways and everyone will have their favourite. Personally, now I know the LF performs as we all hoped and anticipated and is at least on a par with the other two in performance terms, for sheer excitement with the sound and the badge, that is where my money would go.

In short there is no answer, each to their own, all three are something very special.

As one journalist said, you can't go wrong with any of then.

If you really want to take it out, get a 918 and pick one of the two others. I too would choose LaF based on looks, powerplant, and interior finish/styling. P1 doesn't quite cut the mustard with regard to sound or the look of the interior. LaF is so much more evocative. Even the most hardcore McLare fanboy must agree with that to at least some extent.

The performance of all the three is beyond adequate. Who cares if one car is 5-15 seconds quicker around the 'Ring than the others. Doubt you will notice the difference once you're behind the wheel. If someone has such a fanatic obsession of laptimes and numbers, I suggest they pick up either a a 911 RSR, 458 GTC or 12C Can-Am. All faster around a circuit than their respective hypercar counterparts.

LaF looks and sounds great, but what's with the square steering wheel? I think Harris commented on it; just fugly. And although I suppose it's de rigeur these days on a top spec Ferrari the shift lights in the wheel scream "our interior guys ran out of things to do, so they jammed some LEDs in the steering wheel...."
Also can't quite accept the side view mirrors and their 2 foot long stalks.
Nit picking I suppose.... waiting eagerly for a Nordschleife showdown between the big 3 :)

I was under the impression the squarish shape allows the wheel to be big enough (width wise)yet compact (top to bottom) ala the wheel in an F1 cockpit.
I think it looks like the bizness! And LaFerrari's interior is head and shoulders more appealing than P1's to me. Whenever I see the interior in the P1 I wanna get a wireless mouse and run it over that funky patch of material they have on the passenger side dash!

918's interior seems downright luxurious compared to the others.
