1971 Used Lamborghini Espada S1 at Driver Source Serving Houston, TX, IID 12030219
Sale pending. " late example of the Series I Espada " Early would be more accurate. " while the interior's upholstery is incredibly original" What's that on the seats naugahyde and no perforations? Very poor assembly on the front seats too. An early car though with the front wind wing windows and I'm guessing no hydraulic lifts for the hatch window.. The front seat tracks are different than later cars - better than mine which rub on the upholstery. I wonder why they switched? If this car gets a good restoration it should be a very nice S1 indeed. It looks reasonably complete.
I just got back the Espada from the spring service. I took this opportunity to go to Geneva by car and to put it in the traffic. Just like the Islero, not the single sign of overheating even in the big Geneva traffic jams, great! What a fantastic car it is. It amazes me every time I drive it and I am looking forward to the good season. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes the visibility is very good but where I live (close in to NYC) it's terrifying to drive due to the congestion and idiot drivers. Everyone is a lot higher up off the ground too! You also have power steering on yours right? I've never parallel parked mine, not sure I even could? Drives beautifully in the countryside ...

Nicely done car with a few liberties on originality taken but it "looks" like they went through everything. We saw a few Espadas in that range or higher last year so it looks like a top flight restored Espada is now $185-200K? Going to see my cars interior progress today. Still looking for a hole punch for the backs of the front seats ...
