Is it a concept with some shared 918 tech, a car built with a great deal of the 918 or something different entirely? EDIT- nevermind. Google is my friend http://www.caranddriver.com/features/2017-porsche-960-25-cars-worth-waiting-for-20142017-future-cars Still, it would be interesting to know if Porsche would remove the hybrid systems and batteries from a 918 for the right customer with the right budget.
I've read on another forum (germancarforums) that there will be car&drive review of customer 918(they are apparently impressed) and that by Porsche calculation stock 918 should be second slower around Top Gear test track. Since P1 was test raced there for the entire development and considering 12C got fantastic results there its actually not that big of a gap. Should be interesting how they compare on the other tracks...
Yes the c and d review is apparently very good indeed for the 918 . Autocar doing full 918 test too soon . Interesting times for sure .
Little bit of info. In that same magazine a 650S spider 2 people full tank : 100-200 kph 5.6 secs. 918 Weiss pkg 2 up full tank 100-200 kph 4.8 secs. Less than a sec difference. Not bad for the baby McLaren.

It is now true for new LMP2 chassis, that are running under 2011 regulations of cost cutting+production based engines. Chassis costs 350 000 euro + engine costs (around 80 000) Porsche RS Spyder is a car from previous LMP2 generation build without idea of cost cutting. As, firstly, it was built for rich Penske Motorsport, I believe 1 chassis may cost around 1 mil euro. Engine is custom built pure racing block. Peugeot 908 FAP LMP1 sold for 1,7 mil euro Audi 2001 LMP R8 sold for 1 mil dollars 2001 Bentley Speed 8 sold for 2,5 mil dollars
How does one even service such a car? If they are factory cars, will they provide you with parts or details on how to fabricate parts?
New video on the 918, it definitely looks fast [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlgJV37KUz4]2015 Porsche 918 Spyder: A Glimpse into the Future! - Ignition Ep. 109 - YouTube[/ame]
