I recently purchased a 1986 Testarossa, WOW what a great car. When attempting to coast to a stop the idle speed hangs up at about 2,000 RPM. A quick goose of the throttle returns the idle to the correct 1,000 + RPM. Checked throttle return at idle, both blades snap shut with no sign of sticking. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of problem? Does this engine have an idle air bypass valve that might be sticking?

Take the aftermarket floor mats out and leave them in the garage.
