I think this was last year's Monaco GP. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5EofwRzit0]Daft Punk - Get Lucky (Full Video) - YouTube[/ame]
I'm hoping we hear something soon, I heard there is 'news' to report regarding Michael's current condition. Nothing more than that though.
I heard there were a considerable amount of people at the hospital last week, more than usual, in support of Michael. I figured someone must have heard something as I understand the crowds had died down quite a bit until then.
John, Nothing, and I mean NOTHING new in France since six weeks, be it on the french medias, or anywhere else. The last snippet of information I saw is this (dated yesterday) and it is not especially optimistic, athough, as you would have noted by yourself, there is no "first hand" information from Michael or his Family or Sabine whatsoever. It is only "second level" information, i.e the usual "deductions from what we can deduce", etc... Usually I don't post this type of information, but I do it now just to show you that this is all we have. No much as for "confirmed news"; in fact, nothing at all. I understand nothing was at all confirmed, just that there were a number of people there as if something were happening although it sounds as if it were something else now as we aren't hearing anything further re Michael.
Slow news day for some, so they have to come out with something that sells. Sad but true. Forza Michael!
"Such a condition means that he is conscious but cannot move or communicate." Hoping this is not the case, how awful. I wish for a swift resolution, this is torture for all. Godspeed, Schumi.
Basically that news clip confirms what my surgeons told me. I just hope he can amaze us, what hell it must be for his family and close friends, I know I put mine through hell and back, I just shudder to think, it's bad enough and I don't even know the guy personally, but I can certainly relate to the type of skiing he did, as I have done the same, he seems to have got so desperately unlucky. .
The last official release on Schumi's condition said he was having moments of awareness and consciousness. Sabine Kehm has said many times to us fans to only listen to news from official sources, and this latest report that seems to be going around all the news sites has no official source, so i think we should all just wait patiently until Sabine gives us an update. Keep fighting Schumi!!!!
On the NBCSC broadcast from Monaco mention was made of Michael being at home. I assume that this isn't true.
Sabine did issue a statement, but it was not at all good news for what it didn't say, and what they apparently will not say. The story from Kehm denying that she spoke to the journalist who wrote the story: Kehm denies latest Schumi rumours | Planet F1 | Formula One News But she also said this: I hadn't heard that before - until this, it was always "only believe the official statements", but now it's "there will be no more official statements". That's it.
I would guess they are cutting off the media machine to get that headache out of their lives. I would have to think it is a feeding frenzy and this at least gives the media no hope of waiting around for a bite. If I were in their situation I would clear out as much of the unnecessary annoyances as I could. What's truly happening is anyone's guess and maybe the family just needs those that keep trying to guess out of their face. Sure it seems grim, but in a way I'd rather not know and leave them in peace to deal with whatever it is they need to deal with. This is a private family matter. Not a public superstar matter AFAIC.
+2 I certainly don't understand Sabines comment about "no more updates", but she & the family have obviously decided that's what they want, and we have to respect that. Godspeed Michael Ian
To end the media speculation, at the very least Sabine or the hospital should issue an occasional update as some news is better than no news at all. BHW
I think Kehm no longer offers any statements because the story is over. Sorry but I think that's where we are after 6 months of coma.
This unfortunately appears to be the case. At the very least we have reached a point where new news is likely to be very sparse. I have no doubt that if his condition improves in a material way, we will hear about it very quickly. Until then, we can only wait and hope. Good luck Michael! We'll be here when you wake up.
