Yes. lol. And the driver's mistress/wife/son/grandson/friend can also press the IPAS button sending the car flying forward. Seriously, I think the button is way cool. And Rupert and Frefan nailed it. It's like a nitrous button fast and furious button that does not damage the engine.
It's hilarious that now the P1 is getting criticized for having a button to use boost, yet there are 1000000000000 comments on Fchat complaining about lack of driver involvement in modern cars. McLaren gives you the options for more driver involvement with DRS and Boost, and all of a sudden it becomes a gimmick. I take it Realzeus would just drive his LF in automatic mode since using manual mode merely increases the workload on the driver rather than just using their pedal and letting the computer figure out what gear to be in. Can't win with some people... BTW, if you want the most efficient way around a track, you should ask Ferrari to use GPS and program in all the major tracks of the world so that all you need to do is hold down the throttle, or in McLaren's case, press the Start button. We can rendezvous a satellite with a comet by flinging it around a few planets a million miles way over the course of years, coming within landing distance and thousands of miles per hour, so I'm sure we can run perfect laps with the help of GPS and a computer.

You don't know your F1 that well, do you? There is no ERS boost button in F1 this year. The computer does it all, as this is the best (i.e. fastest) way.
All the driver does is manage the system in preset positions according to the state of the battery charge. The system still decides when to deploy within these parametres (unless the driver switches it off).
These cars are big boy toys. Gimmicks add to the fun. No one is taking them seriously racing. "There are no rules"

^thanks! I liked the Telegraph's article... "There aren’t seats as such. Instead, you sit on the floor of the carbon-fibre tub, in bum shaped recesses and at 150mph your derriere is just 130mm from the road." For some reason this is one of my favorite features about this car..
Quattroruote writes about the top speed "Ferrari'll never admit it, but strong probably LaFe can 380kph"
...anyone know about the real weight ? Magazines usually write "as weight as Enzo, 1,365", amus writes +35 kgs...
^ thanks! They didn't get any video footage ? He thinks it will be slower than the P1 in terms of lap times, which doesn't surprise me.. what would surprise me is if its by any meaningful margin..
This is a pointless argument you'll never win against someone with the digital mindset. Look at all the threads on manual gearboxes and they come in hordes saying it's the slower way. Tell them you don't care they will find a pointless argument against it. It wouldn't hurt them if you spec YOUR car with a manual (if it where available) but they don't seem to grasp that. Same goes for a harmless button you ask for to ''do it yourself'', which would take about 5 minutes of routing a wire into the ecu, gluing a button somewhere and writing KERS on it. It would make NO difference to the life of the person who doesn't want to use the setting but somehow it infuriates people when asking something very simple. It's an unwinnable fight (they've won already). All you can do is keep buying previous analogue cars. Perhaps restore them like Traveller is doing (so it will be effectively a 0km car), or improve them with some current tech parts to your liking (that's what I want to do). Personally I'm not a big fan where all this tech is going. If I have the cash my garage would be filled with analogue fast cars (F40 and newer). That said I like the f12 and the LaF. Would the f12 be for keeps? Most likely not, unless it would be Ferrari's last V12 car. If it's an F12 ''GTO'' however... Anyhow, I'm rambling here...
Video footage will be a while longer I'm afraid. I think he's waiting to upload it on his Drive channel when he's done a few more video's of other cars (M3 is coming). He normally releases a video every wednesday every ''season'' (whenever that starts).
