Did you get to hear it? Sit in it? I'm going to the premier in NYC in two weeks but curious to hear your tgoughts on sound and interior. I'm curious if headroom is same or better?

Any news on base price in the US?

As I wrote after sitting in the car in March, the interior is much more compact. The greenhouse is the same, but the new seating position puts you closer to the windshield and the upper section of it, giving the impression that it's much more steeply raked than the previous car. Even with the seat in the lowest position, the top of the windscreen was still uncomfortably protruding my line of sight with the roof down. With the roof up, it felt better (as there is no longer a thick bar right in front of your face amidst the open air) and the headroom was more than adequate for me, who's just a tad over 6'1". I can't say off the bat if it was better than the previous Cali. Furthermore there is not a lot of space between the top of the dashboard/steering wheel and the top of the windscreen, so in many cases the steering wheel position will end up partly blocking your view of the tach or your view forward, which I did not like.

The interior feel and ergonomics are similar to that of the F12, but IMO more tightly packaged. You feel very well placed.

Argh, why did they once again send the worlds most boring journalist to test a car in Maranello?? Jeez...

Going to wait for the evo and CAR videos.

It isn't a new guy, though still boring. For EVO I'm hoping for Bovington to do the review.

Matt Prior has been doing AC videos for years, and I don't know who thought it was a good idea to let him present in the first place...

Indeed, blue with couio or the white/black with couio has my preference.

Top Gear - "Well I felt like I was driving a Ferrari with very thick gloves on and earplugs in. It feels rather remote for a Ferrari"

Mission accomplished it sounds like (pun intended)...Ferrari makes a smooth front-engined GT. That will give those would-be Aston and MBZ SL buyers an aspiration...

Um, it's a normal guy giving a review and using it like a normal person would. If the review is boring, so is the car most likely.

It's a pity, there was no sequence with engine speeds above 4000 rpm, no sequence with a hard and full acceleration. After watching this video I'm not able to judge about Cali's sound.

I don't recall how the original sounded, but I have a feeling that if the sound was a typically great Ferrari sound, that they would have mentioned it.

He's a bad presenter, very uncharismatic. That's the problem.

Ferrari engineers can reduce turbo lag but they can't fix crappy turbo sound,
thankfully Ferrari cut production numbers and they avoid "depreciation nightmare" of California T

Forget the tyre-shredding antics of the F40 and 288 GTO supercars, the aim in this instance was to make it behave as much like a naturally aspirated Ferrari V8 as possible.
